Hi Alex, I think I met you a couple of times at SAHB gigs in the '70s. I am Anne the silly girl who wrote to your Dad every day. He said that I was his "favourite writer"! I heard that you are an actor. The question I would like to ask is this - what was Alex like, as a Dad? And how did having a famous Dad affect you when you were growing up? For example, did his theatrical show influence you to become an actor?

Did your Dad call you Junior, and what, if any was the most embarassing moment you can recall as a kid that you Dad performed. Also did you get to play with his soldiers? That's 3 questions I know, but sure what the hell?

There was a few years between yourself and Tyro so did you guys really get the chance at some stage to develop a bond and do either of you have children that may follow in their grand fathers footsteps?

With all the musical influences around you growing up from Alex senior and Uncle Leslie, Maggie Bell, Jimmy Dewar and of course the SAHB lads what music have you ended up listening to?

Alex senior was clearly inspired by Marvel Comics, giving us Vambo & The Man in the Jar and Treasure Island, to give us Tomahawk Kid...................I remember Chris in the kitchen explaining the story of Louie Benato to Mum.....like a kid in a candystore, with all the new things he was learning about from Alex. -
sorry, most uncharacteristically, I digress ;D - the question is, what inspired or inspires you, in your photography, your acting - life in general.

We mentioned "laying ghosts" back in February @ The Tribs fabulous fundraiser but you misunderstood my question - had you ever seen a SAHB tribute band before?
I saw your reaction to some of the numbers and thought that it must have been a pretty big step to come along that evening - was it?

Hello Alex,
When your Father wasn't entertaining his fans, who did he enjoy being entertained by? Do you recall him going to any gigs or having a favourite comedy show? Do you think his theatrical stage presence influenced you to become an actor?
Best Wishes From Scott Manson

If they decided to make a movie about the life of your father what would you suggest for the title and who (apart from yourself) do you think could do the lead role justice?

At least you knew, when you signed up for this, that most of the questions would be about your Dad, so, here's another.... ;D.
.if your Dad had not gone the road to music as his life's work and if he'd chosen to take up all the further education opportunities that are so readily available to young people today - what career path would he have followed d'you reckon?

Hi, AnnMarie - I thought you said you wouldn't post on this forum again, after your anti-Zal rant.......although changing her mind is a woman's perogative....

Hi Alex, first up, thanks very much for doing this. What is your favourite anecdote about The Sensational Alex Harvey Band?
Cheers,

Catherine, what anti-Zal rant was that? I don't recall EVER saying anything anti-Zal! In fact, he's a Facebook chum, he's read one of my books, and I've just sent him my songs. So what are you taking about? I stopped posting on here when someone (Trudy I think) said something to me like "who hasn't taken her medication today, then?", which I thought was really bitchy and unkind. Alex was a really, really special person to me and I think I was special to him too. It is not my fault if some people can't accept that, or feel jealous.
