I'm with Catherine here , its gotta be the Faith Healer, and isn't it ironic that many could say that Faith Healer is SAHB's kinda anthem, like Smoke on the Water was for Deep Purple, Freebird for Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Stairway to Heaven is for Led Zep, yet all of these examples have become almost parodies of themselves, some guitar shops have signs up saying "play the guitars, play Smoke on the Water and ye'r leaving, yet even after 30 years, Faith Healer has lost none of its impact, and still touches your soul, well it does for me, it is a song that always makes me happy. So There!!!

My favourite is "Anthem". Those bagpipes and snares get me every time, plus some great vocals from Alex.
2 Faith Healer 3 Vambo/Hot City Symphony 4 Last of the Teenage Idols ...and there's about thirty songs tied for fifth...

Swampsnake- I always ID SAHB and especially Alex to that one Another of those 'couldnt possibly choose only one' threads, but Swampsnake was my first fave too, until 'Stories came out, then it was 'Boston Tea Party'..... .....but I was only 14 But last time I played Rock Drill, Dolphins jumped to the top of my list

The live versions of Vambo (with Zal) and Faith Healer have always been neck and neck, but my vote goes to Faith Healer by a whisker.

You're biased It used to be Amos Moses, then it was Teenage Idols, at the moment it's St. Anthony.

Has no one ever listened to "River of love or The Whalers song or any other sahb songs you dont hear at concerts? They have loads of great songs that are never mentioned. They will be forever known as Swampsnaking,Faithhealing,Gangbanging, followers of a guy called moses who went out with a burd called Delilah! Try playing one of their cd`s on random and you will get what i mean. By the way they are my favourite most listened to band in the world,so be gentle!!!!

I doubt if anyone here hasn't heard many, many times the "other" songs on their albums, although I must admit I'm still a bit unfamiliar with the Rock Drill album. One of my other favourites is "Vambo Marble Eye" on Next. What a great guitar on the beginning of that. I also love Money Honey sequeing into The Impossible Dream. ...and Hot City Symphony is also one of my favourites. Like I said, I have about thirty songs vying for my fifth favourite. What's weird is that SAHB today is not well known amongst the general public despite their great catalog of songs. Its not like they only have one or two really good songs per album like a lot of other bands in their day did. I can listen to most of their albums from start to finish and every one of them is a gem. Could be just our mad lot though - SAHB fans I mean - but if anyone is unfamiliar with the band gave them a good listen I cannot see how they would be not be hooked.

I must say I'm not fond of Runaway or Dance to the Music. Is it possible that doing so many cover versions was a detriment to SAHB's success? I know Delilah boosted their profile though.
