Very good read they are too.

Just bought this book today: Excellent book! I've always wanted a good chronology of the event and information on ALL the bands that played, when they played, what they played... This book has great pics too, and it also covers the sixties leading up to Woodstock, and festivals that came after - but its main focus is on the event itself. Vic, this book is a great companion to the Complete Woodstock recordings!

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ( with a spot of Jeeves and Wooster thrown in for light relief don't you know, what? - Bertie's in the soup again and quivering like an aspen. Absolutely!)

Starting at bedtime tonight, I shall be reading the book that Darling Man bought me today - "Moab is My Washpot" by Stephen Fry.
Should the world ever be sufficiently unfortunate for me to write an autobiography, it shall be entitled "My Hovercraft Is Full Of Eels"

Just having a peek..........."About the author"......"and he still has an annoying flop of of schoolboy hair that seventeen of London's most expensive and absurd hairdressers have been able to do nothing about"
I bet he'd have something to say about that grammar too!! ;D

C. S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters. I saw the play based on it last Thursday and was so impressed that I bought the book after the show.
Screwtape is a demon and the book is written as a series of letters to his nephew who is trying to secure a young man's soul during WW2 England. It is very funny and satirical but has a strong underlying Christian message.
Religion! That should get the posts rolling in!! Are you there Zal?

Reading Jeeves and Wooster that I was given by Peterb, very, very funny. The book that is, not Peterb.
In between I'm reading a Val McDermid - The Grave Tattoo.

Mum's Father used to howl aloud with laughter as he read all the PG Wodehouse he could get his hands on - the Jeeves & Woosters would have been hot off the press at that time.
I STILL haven't finished the FIRST Stephen Fry - dunno where the time goes!!
