Great Ferry Gig...!!! « Thread Started Today at 12:18pm »
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I went along to the Gig at the Ferry looking forward to hearing a few SAHB tunes and getting pissed..!! What I wasn't expecting was the blinding gig we got.......superb!! That has to be the best live "Tomahawk Kid" I have heard in years.
It was great to hear Next, St Anthony, Snake bite etc etc etc all played with great enthusiasm by the band.
Great Braveheart keyboard intro at the start followed by the usual thumping Faith Healer.........magic..!!
Me and my mates had a jig at Gambling Bar room Blues, a mixture of great music and a lot of beer being the contributory factors..!! Apologies if we annoyed anyone..!!
Looking forward to more in 2010....!!!!......Thanks Lads..!!

What a great night, the first three bands were amazing, especially the Nanobots, love those guys ;D The Outfit set was brilliant, it was really good hearing some different stuff to usual, and lovely to hear Wes again on NEXT and something else which I cant quite remember just now. Julian was fantastic, and certainly impressed the two ladies at the front And Stuart on keyboards was spot on too. Great to see everyone as always, Mikey, TK, Gerry & Suze, Rachel's Dad and little brother, Craigie (who ended up on the same train as me going up - not that we knew til later), and thank you so much to Hoggy for the lift home, you dont know how much we appreciated that!

The train, dear god, the train... Feel free to skip this Ok, I drove an hour and a half to York in the morning to leave my car there as there were no trains running from Grimsby. The train I was supposed to get on at 9am was cancelled, so stood at the ticket office queue for half an hour before they told us to get on the next one. Got on the 9:30 train which made it all the way to Durham before stopping again, and us being told there was no power to the signals between there and Newcastle, so there we sat for an hour and a half. I ring Craigie, who's also delayed on a train... also at Durham... hang on, he's in the carriage behind me Sooo eventually we get moving slowly, get past Newcastle, only to be told that no, we're not going all the way to Glasgow Central as planned, we're now terminating at Edinburgh! Right, not a problem, we can just get the next train from Ed... ha! I got past the barrier guy ok, but poor Craigie with his dodgy ticket/paper/form thing didnt. Cue the ignorant git of a ticket inspector being extremely rude, first ignoring, then saying 'it's not my problem mate', and me having to abandon Mr D to find yet another ticket office to get his form stamped. And as if that wasnt drama enough, there were no bloody taxi's outside the station, so Max and I had to walk from there to the Ferry through the snow and ice, with various cases and extremely unsuitable shoes Anyway, it was worth it. The things you do to see a gig...
