I have been thinking about this since Trench suggested it & obviously anything that raises more money has got to be considered & in theory it is a great idea. My only thoughts are 1 As Catherine says about the venue size, don't want it to get in the way & who would man it, would someone want to be there all night?. 2. Don't wan't it to look like a jumble sale, it is a gig after all & could be (hopefully) very busy. 3. What happens to & who deals with any stuff we have left at the end of the night. If it was possible to do something thro' the forum might be something to think about. Thanks Trench for putting some thought into this & I'm sure we can make this work some way

I get your point,Sarge. It would be pretty hard to run a stall and remain sober at the same time, perhaps we could find a teetotal sahbster to run it (on second thoughts, perhaps not )
Any stuff that was left could be taken to a local dealer ,i'm sure if the charity angle was raised they would be obliging.

I'll be arriving on the Friday night so could help with any setting-up;and maybe three or four of us could take charge on an informal rota so that everyone still gets to mix and have fun too - just a thought.

This will work in some form or another so keep the ideas flowing. Someone will need to take responsibilty for packing any stuff left & transporting it wherever.

OK Troops - it's time to stand up and be counted!!
We are several pairs of hands down on last years' team - a source of great sadness to those concerned in the organization of SAHBstock this year It would be a joy and a delight if they were to join in again, at any stage
However, the event is being staged to raise funds for charity 8-)and for us to have a grand social event!!
There are some initial expenses to be met in the form of publicity posters and flyers.
If you are going to SAHBstock BUY YOUR TCKETS NOW - that starts off the fund and means the expenses can be met.
We have a bigger venue this year - due to the good turnout last year - whether I'm right or wrong matters not - but the numbers were achieved last year by it being a "bring at least one buddie" in several cases, the whole family, gig - the event sold out entirely via the forum.
The nature of the forum changes all the time, so, perhaps we should not rely on it this year; PLEASE, reserve your tickets NOW and give us an idea of numbers and how much publicity we ought to undertake.
Did I mention the raffle?? NO!!??
There will be a raffle, the prizes that I already know about are SENSATIONAL and I'm sure there are a fair few goodies that I have yet to hear of.
A raffle's not a raffle without bath salts.............DO feel free to contribute accordingly, be it bath salts, or otherwise. please pm me details of the prize you are donating.

My VERY DEAREST Professor McBabelfish of Buddiesville - where HAVE you been - you must have decorated every house in Scotland by now!!!!!! Get back here more often - with IMMEDIATE effect!! ;D
Of course you should spread the word and if you figure that post will do it - crack on!!
I, personally, fail to see how the tribute band could possibly get by without your senastional stage presence and brilliant backing vocals - born to do-wap!! - but I'm not the musical director - luckily for all involved!! ;D
It's MARVELLOUS to have you back, you ole Buddie, you!!

It must be great to have almost everyone on the forum living within, say, five hundred miles or less from your house.

Yes, Sir Gin, it is - but there is a higher chance of me dropping in to McGinster Castle, in Killbear Kingdom, (perhaps visit Uncle Tom again, one day) than there is of me taking up the most kind offer of coffee and donuts at The Tomahawk Kid's teepee.......300 miles is the ends of the Earth to us Brits, on our own islands I do hope to meet up with, before SAHBstock, Trench - 20 minutes away; Zenmetal - just about an hour away and Mr & Mrs BR, just about an hour or so, as well. Vibranian lives within 5 minutes of where I'm now sitting - wouldn't know the man if I fell over him.....it may have been him that bumped into me in the post office on Monday....... ;D Anywayz, you and Victor and the other children of them colonies, who lurk from time to time, are as close to our hearts as us Brits are geographically

Just had an update...tickets are going well & I haven't even started selling them personally myself yet.
Tigers are playing Oran Mor this Friday & I know a lotta tickets will go then PLUS friends of mine are going to Edinburgh on a coach with 85 other people to watch some Paisley bands play at the festival & the organiser (who I know well) has guaranteed they will sell tickets for me on the bus, I have to drop them off to him later today.
So if you aint got yours.........................HURRY UP!!

Today I got confirmation by a T shirt printer that I can get 50 Tshirts printed, various sizes front & back print for a great price. I know we where left with a few last year but we still made a healty profit off them anyway & we where able to send one to Vic & Ginnie (altho Vic's postie stole his!!) What are your thoughts on getting "Official SAHBstock II" T shirts printed this year, would YOU buy one?? I don't mind pursuing this if it's a go-er. I would consider selling them thro the forum as well. The design last year was done by me on microsoft office word pro & a basic paint programme so not ideal but they where OK but could've been better as this years will definately be (if we do 'em). Thoughts please troops!!

Tshirts sound fantastic, Sarge! I would definetly buy a few this year, rather than just one for myself and a mix of sizes would be a good idea. The extra large stripeys( I know they weren't Sahbstock, but still) were a wee bit on the large rather than extra!I'm getting even more excited now. ;D ;D
