Snow is cold and wet and horrible.
Supermarket self-checkouts are slower and much more annoying than getting someone else to do it for you.

I know a lot of peeps are getting pissed off with the snow now ... but this is the most extreme Winter we have had in years .. so relax and enjoy it .. marvel in the beauty of it, we might never see it again ...
Jo Cleary is the lady who did the interview on Sky News about her facebook group reaching 1/2 million in 4 days opposed to the march in Wootton Bassett ... she did the interview before going for Chemo ... Top Lady !!

we keep getting a couple of inches every few days, including tomorrow morning and Thursday night into Friday- but I'm still waiting for the big one we usually get in January and one biggie in February but it has been bitterly cold! and that will get worse
Its been so bad on the EAST coast that the farmers in Florida are in jeopardy of loosing the orange crops

Sorry Craig, but when you cant get your car out of the driveway because of the snow, you cant get to work to earn the money to pay your bills, and you cant see your friends and family because of the snow.... thats not beautiful or marvellous to me.

I just have to wonder how well the UK is prepared when it snows ... Do you guys like have indoor heating (will fix the pipe problem) or are your water pipes on the outside of your house? Do you have mitts, hats, boots, shovels, car window scrapers, ice pick, road salt, snowblower.... ?

Sadly Ginnie, we tend to have the Ostrich approach to bad weather, even though we know its coming we stick our heads in the sand and try to pretend it ain't happening, snowblowers are something i've never even seen!!!!!

I used to love it when Jack Frost had been during the night and frosted the INSIDE of our windows.........today, I was HORRIFIED to find tiny traces of the thinnest frost inside the (unheated) conservatory windows...........then delighted as the beautiful sunshine heated it all up and just made the snow in the garden glisten
