It's still in the 2 acoustic tuners situation at the minute. Gigged twice, and it's held tune fine, also, the string tension in the top two strings is slightly less...it SHOULD be t'other way round, but it isn't...and that's quite nice for big bends (oo-err). Surprised, and happy with that! ;D
The new SG has took over as me main axe now like...lush!

A new SG?-thats a big switch-do anything to the electronics?
The Mrs surprised me a Gretsch 5120 for Christmas-always wanted a gretsch semi hollow-makes u play different u know?

Nope, it's all stock - but I only got it 'cos it has the P90's - so it sits nicely inbetween the Strat (single coils) and the Tele Deluxe ('buckers). And at the minute I favour it over both of them - Love the P90 sound like...lush. Think I might get me 50's Reissue Strat (bought it, gigged it, bought another, so now it's sat doing nowt) with some SC sized P90 sounding p/ups at some point...
Gretsch - a bit too fragile for me like, but the one's I've played, which have all had them filter'tron (?) pickups on really sing! They feel really different to a Fender etc. The Fretboard seems a lot thinner - or maybe that's just me.

I agree on that the neck ,does feel thinner than the maple on the Strat- I dont remember the last I played a SG so I cant compare- but talk about thin ,I have a 1968 "Fretless Wonder"Custom Les Paul-Ebony fretboard with these thin frets they used for it-a very fast guitar(one owner-me) Sometimes though it lacks "neck Bite" if u know what i mean. I never changed a thing on it except the tunning keys.I bought this D'Aguestino Tele knock off about 18 years ago I mostly curse at-but a rosewood neck and active electronics What pedals have u got there?

Behringer Hell-Babe Wah (Was a temporary solution to either a Morley Bad Horsie, or Dunlop 95Q, but I've kept it...gets the job done) > Dunlop Uni-Vibe (Gotta have it for all things Trower, Hendrix etc.) > Marshall Echohead Delay > Fulltone OCD (Supposed to be an overdrive - but the ammount of gain you can get is too small to be a standalone overdrive pedal - basically a really good quality booster - works lush with the amp).
And the amp is a Mesa Boogie Lonestar 2x12 Combo. The most versatile, yet 'old school' amp that I've had the pleasure of playing with/owning. 100W/50W switching on both channels, a Tweed setting, which juices the valves even more. Tasteful level of drive too - even gained up full, it's just a lush retro tone. I use the OCD to add a little bit of bass to the Strat, and boost the level a little bit. 'Fat' switches too, on the dirty channel, which, it says in the booklet, are like a 'Plexi' switch. I have that on 1/2, with the Tweed setting - so a strange combination of a Fender/Marshall tone comes out - the lush sustain etc of a driven marshall, but the clean/clear top end of a Fender too, when it's needed. The amp's got a built in (post-preamp) boost too, for solos etc, which never gets used 'cos I'm too lazy to set it up! Two-stage preamp too, you can knock one off, which is great for more mellow, but driven bluesy stuff.

Looks like u got one screamer of a set up- Love the sound of the Mesa Boogie from way back first time i actually sceen it used and recognized it was Santana-what a sound. I got me one of those Line 6 amps with all the presets(like u ned 150) I got it for the Les Paul since I refuse to change to pick ups I have an original Cry Baby I like especially for the half tones, using as a wah can get noisy. U sceen any of those Electo-Harmonix pedals with tube drives? I heard them on a website but thats nothin compared to using them live-havent had the chance to go try them out

I've got an EHX English Muff'n - the best valve drive pedal I've tried - with the exception of the uber-expensive boutique stuff. Great bit of kit, used to use one with me last amp, a cheap 'Mesia' valve combo, which sounded uncannily like a vox...but I used that English Muff'n in front of it, and it was a lovely Marshall-esque sound. Had a booster before the Muff'n too I think, as I was only using a Strat then...but I reckon with a Les Paul it'd be more than enough drive...great pedals!

I got an original EHX Muff Fuzz u kno the little one- always liked it thru the Cry Baby- by itself a bit to bottom heavy for solos but great for chords pretty good thru a slap back echo too
