You have a year to save up!! In all seriousness, I think the ONLY way I could ever get there is if I quit smoking and saved up all the money I would have spent on that. Then my wife MAY permit me to go - and I wouldn't go alone, she'd have to come too. Thats over $2000 on plane tickets alone - with all other expenses I'd say it would come to around $4000, after all, after going all that way I'd like to spend a week or so journeying around the UK too.

What can I say that has not been said, it was a great night, which feels like a bit of an understatement, all of the bands were exceptional, and it has to be said that the SAHTB were a revelation, all were fantastic, but oh boy had Ritchie(Alex) done his research, he was an embodiment of the man himself, absolutely sensational doesn't come close, but that should not detract from any other performance in any way,
The Invisible Idols - brilliant, an absolute blast
Tigers on Vaseline - absolute tremendous, proving beyond doubt that the bitter does come out better on a stolen guitar!!
Electric Warrior - I had never seen these guys before and i loved them, they took me back several decades and a few stone in weight as well !!, they were amazing and they were enjoying themselves and it was infectious, and Keyboard Wizardess Sharon's eyelashes were a work of art, and in common with all the bands, damn nice folks as well!!
The SAHB Lads - as always Sensational, i want Max's shoes, pity they couldn't have done more!!!!
Our Catherine - who injected a wee touch 'o' professionalism into the Raffle in spite of overwhelming odds, as always an absolute star, and a awfully nice lassie as well, a great privilege to consider her as a friend!!!
Our Lady Penelope - The Lovely, adorable Penny who has to be one of the nicest folk I've ever met in my entire life and a lady i consider a great friend, who as always was ready to do anything to help, and she did, she flogged shirts/raffle tickets all night, a true star and deserves our undying gratitude!!
Graham Platt aka The Sarge - the prime mover and shaker behind the scenes to get this years SAHBstock off the ground, take a bow Graham , you did a grand job, well done that man!!!, BUT, you asked me to keep the timings of the bands kinda to schedule, you fly fooker, it was like herding fookin cats, if we do this next year and i sincerely hope we do, I'm bringing a bloody cattle prod!!!!!!!
and finally a sincere thank you to those who laughed at my jokes, and treated a blethering eejit rather well, to all who attended , you were a great crowd and you guys made the night as much of a success that it was, so to the Sahbstock audience, a sincere and heartfelt Thank You, you guys made it real, see you all next year!!!!!!!!!!!

What a fantastic weekend!
Thanks to Cavey,Morag, Kirstie and the beautiful Declan for making me welcome in their home, pity I'm too far away for baby sitting duties, but I suppose Gary ought to be looking after himself really! Thanks to Catherine for taking me along to the hairdresser, we looked divine, darling! It was great to see everyone again, especially the lovely Peterbarrow and to meet BR and Spirit for the first time. And great to meet at last our resident tshirt model, the lovely Sarge!

Apart from anything else they want to fill in time with SAHBSTOCK 3 is a must. The venue offered to give me a date for SAHBstock III last night! So will I book a date then? Yes please, Sarge! I'm not sure I can wait another year before I see at least some of you all again though! Its far too long to wait.

Others have reviewed the night more eloquently than I could possiby do, so I won't be going down that road.
It was great to meet all me fellow SAHBsters once more.
Suffice to say I thought Matt's band The Invisible Idols were great. Matt! You have a great voice, Style & stage presence to you. You should go far.
The Electric Warriors were good fun.
The Tigers were - as always - excellent.
What can I say about SAHTB? In a word Sensational, and I really mean that. Fantastic musicianship and what a find you are Richy. As my wife remarked, you ARE Alex reincarnated. The hairs on our collective necks were standing on end from first to last.
Looking round the venue, everybody was having a blast, so thanks to ALL involved (you know who you are!) in making it a special night.
I did vedeo the whole SAHTB gig last night except from about a minute of Delilah when I had to change the Battery.
Good news is that the wee Panasonic SD camcorder I used has really good stewreo sound & picture.
Bad news is that there was feck all place to put it looking AT the front of stage, so I had to leave it behind the PA system looking across the fron of stage. So, when 'Alex' steps out front he may be missing a little.
Will download to my PC tonight and hopefully tomorrow night get it onto a download site in mpeg format for y'all to burn DVDs or just watch on yer PC.
ZenMetal! If you want to mix it in with your stuff go ahead mate, be my guest, just please let us all see it! ;D
I can see SAHTB going far, if there is an audience outwith SAHB fans.
Great amount of cash raised for ClikSargent, well done to all for contributing.
Cheers

Good news is that I asked him the question - maybe a bit brazen of me - "Would you be willing to play at a SAHB fundraiser for an Alex Memorial?" Right away Zal's answer was "of course I would".
