OK Troops - it's time to stand up and be counted!!
We are several pairs of hands down on last years' team - a source of great sadness to those concerned in the organization of SAHBstock this year It would be a joy and a delight if they were to join in again, at any stage
However, the event is being staged to raise funds for charity 8-)and for us to have a grand social event!!
There are some initial expenses to be met in the form of publicity posters and flyers.
If you are going to SAHBstock BUY YOUR TCKETS NOW - that starts off the fund and means the expenses can be met.
We have a bigger venue this year - due to the good turnout last year - whether I'm right or wrong matters not - but the numbers were achieved last year by it being a "bring at least one buddie" in several cases, the whole family, gig - the event sold out entirely via the forum.
The nature of the forum changes all the time, so, perhaps we should not rely on it this year; PLEASE, reserve your tickets NOW and give us an idea of numbers and how much publicity we ought to undertake.
Did I mention the raffle?? NO!!??
There will be a raffle, the prizes that I already know about are SENSATIONAL and I'm sure there are a fair few goodies that I have yet to hear of.
A raffle's not a raffle without bath salts.............DO feel free to contribute accordingly, be it bath salts, or otherwise. please pm me details of the prize you are donating.
Catherine ,in response to you call to arms,i would be happy to donate a brand new Stagg 12 string guitar to the list of raffle prizes.

Any chance of a few women's fit tshirts this time? Everyone always does huge great men's boxy things, and I think more women would be likely to buy them if they fitted us too without looking enormous.

I know I was working on the gift card project, but I'm putting that aside to do an acrylic painting of Zal. I'll send it over to BR who has kindly offered to mount and frame it. So it'll be a joint donation from the both of us. Thanks BR!

Today I got confirmation by a T shirt printer that I can get 50 Tshirts printed, various sizes front & back print for a great price. I know we where left with a few last year but we still made a healty profit off them anyway & we where able to send one to Vic & Ginnie (altho Vic's postie stole his!!) What are your thoughts on getting "Official SAHBstock II" T shirts printed this year, would YOU buy one?? I don't mind pursuing this if it's a go-er. I would consider selling them thro the forum as well. The design last year was done by me on microsoft office word pro & a basic paint programme so not ideal but they where OK but could've been better as this years will definately be (if we do 'em). Thoughts please troops!! Sarge, don't forget to check out that Open Office link I sent you. The drawing program - sort of a junior Corel draw or Illustrator) is quite good - I used it for the poster. You can combine easily graphics (bitmaps or vector) and text. Plus you can save it as a PDF if you want. www.openoffice.org

Since they're doing the shirts for a good price Helen I don't know if they'll do womens fit shirts but I will ask. If not what regular size would you recomend ?

Very Preliminary design for the front of tshirt I like the rounded rectangle here, and the way it is taken from some SAHB albums. The stripe on the bottom may or may not be good...

Nothing to do with me - but when did that ever stop me ?? :-/and I know that these are early drafts for the tees, but perhaps, if the shirts are black, the text ought to be that egg yolk yellow as on the original stripeys - I know the text is following on from last year's title of Charity Tea Party - so it may not work to change it to "Charitea Party" I've stopped now.

I don't like the yellow personally at all, I don't know how Sarge feels about it. What original stripey's?

Just back from Tigers gig at Oran Mor. I took a bundle of tickets & could've sold SAHBstock out there & then...........seriously, I had to turn people away & point em in the ticket outlets direction.
I gotta feeling this years SAHBstock is gonna be another SELLOUT!!

Up to this point over half the tickets have been sold which at the moment stands at about 130, which is quite incredible as I haven't even started advertising it yet. I'm hoping to get posters printed this week & then get them distributed which should see a movement of tickets over the next few weeks.
Could anybody on the forum who has not bought their tickets please try & get 'em asap as i've gotta feeling the rest will go very quickly.
