well folks its all done n dusted, i hope all who attended had a ball !!....i know me n the sarge did ;D ;D. i would like to thank the following people who all helped out simon from the admiral bar ~ chad the lad, k9 kev, and james who opened the show,then we had a set from matt black, next up was the sahb fan band, who are da sarge (on drums), andy (keyboards), chad (vocals), john (guitar), tom (guitar) and colin (backing vocals), next up was andy and wee john with max, chris, ted, and jon for framed ;D..........and then john, andy, platty (oor sarge), tom-l, and tom-r our headliners the mighty tigers on vaseline who were absolutely superb !!!. also huge thanks go to BIG hoggy (our own glasgow style t-shirt venda !!!), jim and hannah for sorting us out with the t-shirts, everyone who donated a prize to the raffle, catherine and the caveman for doing the raffle,.........and putting craigie d in his place ha ha loved it ;D ;D, zenmetal who has filmed the whole show. and to EVERYONE who attended our wee night. i am very pleased to announce the total raised by sahbstock to be presented to nordoff robbins music therapy is £977. 24p i thank you all, awra fae t.k. ;D

I should add - my post this morning might have seemed a wee bit critical of the web link at the Admiral - but I should emphasise - the staff were endlessly helpful and pleasant, and the whole event was a pleasure to attend!
Now then - when's the next one? Come on TK, pull your finger out! It's been 24 hours since the last one, man!

Just wanted to add my thanks and praise too, for the organisers and artists of SAHBstock - I take off my tiara to you
(I KNEW I'd forgotten SOMETHING!!) 
Each and every one of you made Saturday 18th October 2008 a real good night. 
The SAHBsters, loyal as ever, donating raffle prizes (YES!! THERE WAS A RAFFLE!! I KNOW!!!  ) and thse who joined in with the bath salts joke ;D
someone sent me a pm last week, which went along the lines of,
isn't this forum great and aren't our SAHBsters just lovely - GIZZA HUG! 
that rather sums up the whole spirit of the evening ;D
(I almost said "ethos" then, but I'm unsure as to its meaning!  )
Thank you doesn't seem like enough..............but we'll go with "less is more" in this case  like I rather wish I had on Saturday!!

Ye wanna hear the real aftermath story? Picture the scene, its near the witching hour, theres a dodgy bunch 'o' characters hanging around a disreputable tavern in a bad part 'o' the hot city, The Cast Captain Caveman- The hero of the hour, a kind , decent chap with huge genitalia, need i say more Helen- a modern day Mata Hari, Captain Caveman's weakness, his Lois Lane , if you will Swapsnake and Andy- a couple of beautiful people, but don't be decieved, Sue once pulled Peter Smiekels knob off!!!!!!!!!!! Maxamillion Maxwell - a strange Machevellian character, who could be seen stroking a cat saying "I expect you to die Mr. Bond" yet comes though to save the day Platterpete- One of The Good Guys Huntvambo- The same , unless you bid against him on Ebay, then he is utterly ruthless Mike Drew - A man of great talents, but shows no mercy Craigie Dee - A fellow super hero, a cross between Spider man and Mr Bean ;D ;D As we left the tavern, Helen turned to Captain Caveman and said " I can resist your charms no longer CC, take me away from here and make me yours forevever!!!" Captain Cavemans heart swelled in his chest, these were the words he'd waited to hear, he opened the door to his Ferrari , he held the beautiful Helens hand as she entered, they're eyes locked, sparks of passion flashed between them. CC started the Ferrari, and set off, he looked at the beautiful lady next to him, he could not believe she was his, they sped through the night, no words were needed, their hands occasionaly touched as CC changed gear, sending sparks of electricity through both of them. As they sped through the streets of the Hot City, they were lost in each other, the beautiful Helen could not believe she could want a man more than she wanted CC, as she watched him drive his Ferrari as well as a professional racing driver, she thought if he does everything as well as this................. things were not to be, as they sped through the city, the Hot City cops chased them there were sirens, blue lights, the crack of gunshots split the night, CC floored the Ferrari and sped off, more cops joined the chase, CC turned to Helen and said "This could get dangerous", Helen looked at CC and said " as long as I'm with you , i'm fine" CC grinned in the darknees and put the pedal to the metal, this was gonna work, they sped in to the night witj Hellen hanging out the window shouting " Ye'll never take us alive Copper, F*ck You!!!" More cops joined the chase, bullets slammed into the back of the Ferrari, CC turned to Helen and said " I've always said as long as I've got a face you've got a place to sit, but you're too beautiful to get shot, phone the Maxx, he'll get you to safety", Helen choked back the tears, the love of her life was willing to lay down his life to save her, she got the Maxx on the phone and told him the situation, The Maxx said " Tell CC to pull a Crazy Ivan, like we did in Bogota in 83'! ", through the tears Helen passed the message to CC, CC grinned and said " hang on to your hat this is gonna get a little scary!!" At that CC downshifted and spun the Ferrari, and headed straight back at the Hot City Cops, they scattered and CC turned to Helen and said " Sorry Sweetcheeks, but i need to get you safe and lead these arseholes away from you" Helen realised at this point she would be CC's woman forever, they sped down a dimly lit side street, CC braked and stopped , The Maxx stepped from the shadows, his associates Craigie Dee and Mike Drew keeping watch for the Hot City Pigs, He opened the door , And said " there's not a second to lose Helen , come with us, you'll be safe" Helen turned to CC with tears in her eyes " will I see you again?", CC leaned over their lips brushed briefly, " Wild Horses couldn't keep me away from you" At that CC slammed the ferrari into gear and sped off, Helen and the Maxx and his henchmen slid back into the shadows as the Hot City Cops sped past in pursuit of the Caveman!!  to be continued..................................... |

Cavey that was so funny..........You made my wet Monday morning more bearable...However I heard you got lost dropping Helen Off at the Travelodge whilst being stopped and breathalised!!!! As for the TRUE story---
Gave the lovely Helen a lift to her hotel, coz the high heels had taken their toll, also the road to her hotel was like the north face 'o'the Eiger, so off we went, and using my superior navigation skills, we went round in circles for a while, then we picked a likely looking road, and we went for it, and i got us spectacularly lost, at that point, Helen was wondering if she was getting a lift or being kidnapped.
Well, Helen phoned for instructions and passed them to me, and we headed in roughly the right direction, and shot through a Give Way right in front of Traffic Cops, cue blue lights etc, stopped , was told the situation , due to the fact i hadn't noticed, cue major arsekissing from me, got breathalised etc and sent on our way.
Well we found Max, Craigie Dee and Mike Drew , all of whom were very sympathetic to our plight, oh yeah, they were pissing themselves laughing, and what was worse as i left them , i turned and went back down the street i'd came up, guess what, you got it, a one way street, guess who was at the bottom of it, yep , my new pals, cue more lectures, cue more arsekissing from me, and then i went home, and found they'd shut a bit of the road and had a 20 mile bloody detour, but it was a laugh!!!
The bit about Helen hanging out the window was true though, our case comes up in a month, i also told the cops she was a millionaire nymphomaniac with a penchant for chunky monkeys so as they'd let me go after my wee breathaliser interlude!!!!!!
