well troops, you lot who will be having the pleasure of going to sahbstock are in for one hell of a treat, our own little tommy from crook, he says howden but thats just a suburb of crook, is going to show you guys just how to play a guitar. this kid is an extremely rare talent, and he will shock the lives out of you how good he really is. he will be using ZALS guitar, yes zals, i think most of you on here know the story about that anyway. he will blow you all away. hes been looking forward to this for ages, and i know for a fact he will shine like the brightest star in the sky, he will lap it up. i would love someone there who has a bit of clout in the music business and sees what this kid can do, because he deserves a chance at a higher level, he will get there eventually, no doubt about that. he reminds me so much, talentwise of another good mate of mine and craigies, gem archer from oasis, he was good, but honestly tom is more special, and i mean that, craigie will agree i know.. just watch this kid go. this is his stage. he is also awesome on the drums, bass and keyboards.. the kids talent is frightening, and he is a great kid, everyone who doesnt know him will love him to bits...
all the very best tommy my little mate, you knock em dead mate.. nee pressure like... ;D

I'm sure Tom will do a good job but can I say that there is (and always has been) a SAHB fan band up here in Glasgow, put together for Saturday. The guitarist is a young 17year old guy called John, recomended by The Tomahawk Kid, who has worked bloody hard to get the songs learnt, not being familiar to SAHB music.
Tom will play a part on the night, how big or small has yet to be decided and this has been made clear from day one, but I will strive to keep everybody happy.
I was asked to take charge of the musical side & I am trying hard to keep on top of it but it aint easy. The difficult thing with Tom isn't his ability which I have no reason to doubt is good but it is merely a question of logistics, if Tom lived up here he'd be THEE guitarist, but he don't.
I hope people are not gonnae start moaning & grumping if they feel somebody has been treated (in their eyes)unfairly because that could ruin what is after all a fans night & is not about one individual, it's about the fans doing something for the fans.
I have worked very hard and put in some long hours to try and organise something you guys will enjoy as well as trying to keep it "fun".
As I say I will try & keep everybody happy but if I don't manage that then it's not intentional.

Dont worry Sarge .... it will all be ok ..... I'm relying on you, Craig, to ensure that it is!
This coming Saturday is a concerted effort on the part of a good few folks good enough to put the whole shebang together.
SAHBotage, the tribute band, is totally in the capable hands of the Sarge, and is comprised of the right amount of musicians - from day 1 it was always considered that all of those would be, to some degree interchangeable, which is what is going to happen.
I just KNOW that we can cool the beans here and give credit where credit is due, to ALL the participants involved.
If I cause upset here, I'm sorry, it's not my intention and your loyalty and enthusiasm for Tom really are laudable, I've been looking forward to hearing him play, matching guitars and all, but not at the cost of the confidence of anyone else involved
Is it relevant, I wonder, that Tom is not starting this type of thread, blowing his own trumpet - at the risk of mixing my metaphors.
It's meant to be fun, delivered in as ship shape a fashion as possible, under the constraints of logistics and the likes.
Shall we maintain that as our primary aim - good fun, good music, good company - I know I would like to.

Erm, I've just got in, this topic is a bit of a shock/strange to say the least... ...looking forward to Saturday, anyhow ;D And no need to explain the crack to me Sarge (even though you weren't really - it just sounds like a nice thing to say ;D ) but as you know, anything which the lad who's busy learning the tracks up there isn't confident at all, I'm here/there and obviously would LOVE to do it. And yes, Cath, matching guitars would be VERY nice so let's hope this thing runs as smoothly as possible! Over to you Sarge, sure you'll do a great job getting this sh1t together! Cheers, and see you there, Tom!

Firstly can I just say that at no time has Tom put any kind of pressure on & i'm looking forward to meeting/playing with him on Saturday.
SO..just back from our 2nd rehearsal & it went pretty damn good, Chad even did a great impression of Max by falling over the music stand & dropping his mic.......as well as putting in a sterling vocal performance.
Wee John nailed it and is happy to pass some of the geetar duties to our friend Tom.
We have an intro/walk on track before the 1st song.....you'll love it & I want all of ye to sing along, as well as singin along to EVERY other song! We only have 30 mins onstage but if you consider that this time last week that none of us really knew each other & only me & Andy had played together before (& he doesnae know SAHB stuff....well he didnae) then I think you'll be proud of us, I certainly am.
OH & don't forget that the Tigers for one night & one night only will do a SAHB track as a tribute to a great band....& because I told em to!! ;D
