Catherine, or anybody else in the band...... definitive answer... what is happening.... has Chris pulled his "fat finger out of his ass".....has Zal stopped sulking...... is anybody going to fulfill their potential. What are the greatest band going to do from now on, apart from act like kids. I feel sorry for Martin who tried to pull it all together. Catherine who was genuinely supportive. And Max who was coming good. All the band needed was some genuinely original material and some tenacity to achieve a reasonable amount of success in a changing world, in which Alex's original messages were more and more relevant.

And Max who was coming good. All the band needed was some genuinely original material and some tenacity to achieve a reasonable amount of success in a changing world, in which Alex's original messages were more and more relevant. Zal is not sulking, he has retired from performing and is contentedly getting on with the rest of his life. Chris, who, I have mentioned before, has extraordinarily slender fingers, is presently playing with the Michael Schenker Group, having played festivals in Germany & Spain, following a "warm-up" gig in Edinburgh. The plan for the immediate future is Japan with MSG. As far as I can see - and I have contact with all of the SAHB members, less with Hugh, they are not behaving like kids. SAHB is at best a semi professional band - you guys on here who are in bands play more gigs than SAHB. A fact, which has aslo been mentioned several times on the forum is that although there are about 50 or so real die hard SAHB fans, who contribute here, that sort of number does not make for commercial success. SAHB fulfilled its maximum potential during the few years it existed with Alex, until he split from the band. Max has been SENSATIONAL from day 1. Martin needs no sympathy - he had a ball - on the road with his rock band - he also learned a lesson in life - never gamble with what you cannot afford to lose. I had an email from him a couple of weeks ago, he is fine; fall in the Clyde and come out with a side of smoked salmon, our Martin could. I remain as supportive as the band would have me be. Perhaps the band did not all want to perform new material and perhaps the tenacity required was stolen from them, with so much else, over the decades. The gospel, according to The Sensational Alex Harvey will live on. I now tire of explaining what the individuals do with their lives when not playing together as SAHB, therefore I shall not continue. The love and loyalty of the fans are laudable and highly prized and valued - however, they maketh not the band. I appreciate, that if SAHB was to play again, how much it would mean to so many. Sorry, I woke up with only one nerve end left......and this post stood on it.

WTF? what sort of post is that? by all means ask your questions, but learn a bit of respect towards chris, zal and the band.. no need for your a***hole comments, learn some manners and respect or f*** off somewhere else..

Can I just say I agree wholeheartedly with the comments provoked by the above post. Thank you Catherine, who must be very tired of such stuff and thanks to Crook, who came out of forum retirement to comment in his usual way.

Nik, old son, hate to state the obvious here, but life is never how we would like it to be, I would love SAHB to be headlining tours all over the world, but it aint happening for a million and one reasons, but we gotta remember these guys are people too, and how they wish to live their life is their affair, i was devastated when Zal announced his retirement, but i admired and respected his talent for years, so i gotta respect his decision, and if he is happy and content, you can't ask for anything more and i wish him and his family well for the future, as i do with all the band members and my fellow travellers on this forum, keep asking things Nik, just maybe not as forthright next time if ye dinnae mind.

A very warm welcome back to the Crookster I'm sure Nik didn't mean it quite how it sounded and perhaps if he logged on a bit more frequently he would have been more up to speed.

You are quite right Catherine! But it doesn't do to get the Sahbsters collective dander up, we are a very protective bunch! ;D And no, Crooky isn't coming back!

Trouble is Nik seemed to be quoting from the war of words that appeared between Zal and Martin's (not Chris's) comments at the time of Zal's leaving. I disagree totally with the comment about Chris after all he has been quite active with the Nantwich show, not to mention Chris Glen and the Outfit and now a tour with MSG. The God of Bass is a busy man. We are all concerned about the future of SAHB :'(and as this forum has stated there are a number of things that we are not privvy to that could be in the way. We are supporters of this band and are greatful for the entertainment that they have worked their butts off to give us. It's not like the money has been there, it hasn't been easy for them to hit the road, but the support has been there and it will always be. Having a dig like that is not helpful in anyway and why on this thread, why SAHBotage a thread that was happy and positive and full of the humour that makes this forum brilliant? I know a lot of this has already been said but I like to get my 2 penneth in. Platterpete

I've posted the Live webcast thingy on the yahoo sahb and sahbstory boards a couple of days ago and am surprised no-one has asked yet...
What equipment/software will a viewer/listener need?
How & when do they get hooked up?
How do they pay?
Just asking...
