wasn't George Formby a Ukelele player? i've got a mate that thinks he's wonderful, personally i'd rather have dental work done via my rectum than watch him, he's about as funny as cancer in my opinion!!!

My idiot son has a banjo ukelele (he's not officially or medically an idiot, that's just my opinion of him ) he got hooked on George Formby - there was an afternoon movie of his every Monday or something, about 15 years ago - no more would do than we tracked down the desired instrument, drove to Leeds from Mid Wales one Sunday to collect and pay for same - we bought it from a George Formby tribute act (Cavey's nightmare!! ;D) who also gave uke lessons - both of his Mercedes cars were registered "UKE whatever" - a beautiful instrument, circa 1930's, birds eye maple - a lovely thing.
Idiot then went to school in Surrey for a while - the music department never did meet the challenge of finding a uke teacher - so, he taught himself - strange child!!
