Its only kicking a ball round a field by people who are paid far too much. Sorry. But there it is. That would be professional football, penny. Some teams play for the love, not the money

'twas well worth the money, the Train.the tube.pie 'n mash, beer, a win for the Hammers. A nice SAHB gig in the evening would have made for a perfect day out!

look ginnie, just google manchester united and you will learn all you need to know about 'the beautiful game'
they have been the best and most supported team in the world for a long time, just follow them and you wont go far wrong
you may get abuse though,be prepared for that, but if it happens just say if your a polite type of guy 'we are the present holders of the premier league and the champions league'
however its best to just say'yawn,we won the league again and the european cup,now f**k off'

I think it would be too obvious to pick Manchester United. Obviously, they are the most successful team aren't they? That would be like picking the New York Yankees as your baseball team over here. Like I said, I want a team that has grit, determination, honour and history. The glory of a Cup of some kind is not necessary, however it would be good to at least have a shot at it. I'm continuing my hunt for a team, after all once I pick one it will be for life I would assume. You have to live through the good years and the bad, I feel. For those interested, my favourite hockey team is the Chicago Blackhawks, and I have no hesitation in readily inviting you to be fans of them. blackhawks.nhl.com/...and we haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1961. That's a long time! For those interested: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBrxcw_ptZkNo, it's not hockey VS. soccer really, but of the similarities between the two sports. BTW, is the word "soccer" like a bad word to this group?

I'm watching the Rangers vs. Tampa Bay right now being broadcast from Prague.
The only thing I have against the Devils is their playing style - fault of their coaching - that "trap" system that plagued the league for years. Good team though. Scotty Stevens was born in the city I live in (Kitchener) and played for the Kitchener Rangers in Junior A. I remember well seeing him play Junior hockey here with an incredible team that also had on it Al McInnis, John Tucker, Wayne Presley, Dave Shaw, Mike Eagles, Wendell Young, Jeff Larmer and Brian Bellows. I remember Gretzky in the late eighties called the Devils a "Mickey Mouse" team - and the next time they played each other the Devils won 8-0. Treasure those Stanley Cups man, they are hard to come by!
