lol nice first post...
Well see, there was this fire, and the band lost a lot more than £40's worth of stuff...
Anyway, your tickets will still be valid, just keep em for whenever its rearranged for.

Firstly, have you read the news section of the web site that gives you the information to your question? Secondly, if so, have you done what has been asked of you to get your money back, i.e. contact the company that you bought the tickets from for the refund? Thirdly, why so rude? Do you really think that it was the band's fault that they had no instruments to play? I doubt if they have seen a penny of your money or ever will, that will still be with your ticket vendor. The information on 'what the f**k is going on' has been on the site for ages and has been emailed out to the Sahb story email group. There is not much more that they can do. It was on the front page for about 2 weeks and now in the news section.

Oh aye , another thing, all the band salvaged were two guitars, Chris's Bass and Julians, a lot of folk lost coats/jackets/ keys / glasses etc, and were out in the bloody cold windy streets of Edinburgh in T-shirts and it was bloody freezing, do you see any of them on here asking WHAT/WHERE THE F*CK etc?, no you bloody don't!, so you'll probably get your money back, and yeah by the way , everyone was ok after we got out of the burning building, thanks for your concern Liam, crackin' first post, how to win friends and influence people!!!!! Bump, bump, bump, bump -that is the sound of my heart pumping purple pish in concern as regards your problem. Missing you already, wanna try again, without pissing everyone off? ?

Aw, poor Liam;
ordinarily, in response to such a heart felt plea, I would make a few calls, rattle a couple of cages, find out what I can.......but do you know what, SAHBsters?
I can't be fuckin' bothered

Well said Cavey!
Liam, take it easy. If you check-out some of the other threads you'll see just how hard the band, promoter and many others worked to make sure the fans weren't disappointed on the Saturday. Lots of begging, stealing, borrowing, arm-twisting,dedication and bloody hard work went into that! The people involved deserve medals not earache.
ps I was one of those who lost valuable stuff in the fire AND had paid for my ticket, train fare and hotel in Brighton; and I'll be eternally grateful for the efforts of all concerned, plus the magical time I had with all the genuine SAHBsters.

Having got tickets for the Brighton gig and looking forward to seeing SAFB for months, I can understand liam's frustration to a point. Less about the money which was going to charity anway but I will admit to a little (a lot) of envy at the postings and pictures and clips of the Edinburgh gig. Unlike liam, I will just read the front page and wait patiently until everything is sorted out and they get down to Brighton.

The thing is before comin on cursing and ranting he should've got his facts clear first & engaged his brain. What about all the people who had travelled to Embra, booked hotels etc for the friday night & who where unable to stay in Embra for the sat gig, they are waiting for some kinda refund and possibly also lost personal belongings. Do you hear them moaning................naw!
OH aye and everybody that attended on the friday night who ended up being in real danger instead of watching their fave band while Liam was warm & safe in his hoose!!

He WANNA know!!!!! I was always taught that "I WANT" - gets nothing.
He obviously has not been back on - although I've not checked on his profile - so he is clearly not as bothered as he thought he might have been - if he was capable of coherent thought in the first instance........but what fun has this thread been!!
Poor Arse - I mean, Liam ("Arse" is an anagram )(well it's an anagram of "sear" or "ears" sadly not of "Liam")
nope! he only ever logged in that one time to make the post......but he could be a lurker........

Liam aside, with regards to Brighton, I bought my tickets through Ticketweb and had an email from them a couple of days ago saying the gig had now been cancelled rather than postponed and they'd issue an automatic refund. Which they have.

I do know that, initially, as far as the band was concerned, this gig was postponed, to hopefully be played another day.......although given the acute absence of equipment, there was no way to know when that would be.
It sounds to me like it's easier all round, from the ticket vendor's point of view, to just pay out refunds - less messy, I reckon.
We will keep you updated though, as soon as we have something to update you with
Good calm, sensible, grown up post, there, Helen, thank you - from someone who travelled to Edinburgh, was evacuated from the burning building, froze and drowned alternately due to the vagaries of the inclement weather, didn't see the band perform on the Friday (but did join us as refugees in the Apex hotel ;D), stayed overnight, saw the band on Saturday and had to be brave - and absorb further lost costs - when the Brighton gig was, for obvious reasons, put off.
Now, THAT, is a SAHB fan
