[glow=red,2,300] I might have a Scottish name, a tartan, and Scottish blood ... but by George, my HEART is ENGLISH My Grandfather knew the best for our family and brought us 50 miles into civilization .... No flairboards lifted here ... ( a few shirts maybe ) .... but we are but a peaceful race who will have a nice cuppa tea and a chat before violence .... [/glow]

Now, see here, this will never do! Our regular lurkers are, as we speak, undertaking tree hugging classes and receiving counselling - besmirched is how they feel about the term lurker now - they have no wish, indeed are most unhappy, at being classified as a lurker along with "arsy Liam".
They believe their image to be soiled and that a lurker is now as welcome as a "paedophile with leprosy" - which, of course, would not be welcome anywhere.
It has been requested - and I see no sound reason for us to deny this perfectly reasonable request - that all our acceptable lurkers be henceforth referred to as "shy non-contributor but regular viewer and genuine SAHB fan", this term is regarded as infinitely more pc.
I'm sure we'll have no problems doing just that, will we troops? Hi Steve , hi Roger, hi Daveye long may your non contribution but regular viewing continue

Do they think we're here to amuse them?

We're funny?
Why do they think us funny?.....

My apologies for resurrecting this thread. I did not intend to underestimate or belittle the trauma you all suffered at the Liquid Rooms, or the plight of those who lost belongings. I was worried when I heard about the fire and thankful for the updates that everyone was okay. I was only pointing out that the disappointment and frustration of SAHB fans at being denied (for very good reasons, admittedly) the gig in Brighton was understandable up to a point. Like Helen, I got my ticket money back and immediately donated it to the charity. I didn't want the money, I wanted the SAHB experience and I am sure you all can understand that feeling I apologise to anyone I may have offended.

I didn't take offence from you either but you made me look again at how selfish some people can be. No need to apologise

Whatever made you think that you've caused offence? It's the trauma of being back at work m'girl!! It's this twat Liam that's got us up im arms!!
Julian's delightful wife -- another lovelyy Penny - and friends and family were all revved up to go to the Brighton gig too but it just wasn't to be.
AND as if this poor, deranged, ill-raised, bad mannered Liam wasn't a big enough ARSE..........he has to and spell p o s t p o n e d incorrectly...now THAT is UNFORGIVABUBBLE!!

I have seen the movie and I recognised the quote - I was just a bit remiss in not memorising the rest of the script
