Work until about 2.45 (self-employed today, YAY!!); dropped off some accounts and reports at the accountants and headed home. Put the waiting light wash out to dry and put on the darks on to wash. VERY late lunch, tea and toast, pegged out darks, put bedding onto wash - hey!! I know how to live - eh?? Started the ironing, hugged Darling Man when he came home, a bit more ironing; had dinner; email and forum; bath; forum.....accused of insanity chatted to Milady Penelope of Peacock Castle.........spotted this thread........altogether a rather nice, although very warm, sunny fruitful day

Took Mrs Wanderers motor over to Silverdale(Stoke- on-Trent) for MOT and annual service. Paid the weekly takings into the bank. Went to travel agents to pick up our tickets for the impending holibobs. Went to work and began to make a bathroom sink unit that needs to be delivered before I go away next week. Stained and sanded the chest I made yesterday ready for polishing tomorrow. Cut out the timber for a couple of bookcases I hope to make over the weekend. Collected her ladyships motor, parted with 200 snoot. Did the scale drawings for a dresser I've got to make. Stripped the paint off the old iron window furniture in our bedroom. Cracked the seal on the bottle of JD i'm currently slurping. Did my usual late nite interwebbythingy hoping to eventually fall asleep.
Nothing unusual today really, apart from the car and hols bits!

Today I have been to Home Sense (TKMaxx, but housey stuff and loads of red stickers, yay), spent too much in there. Went to sisters for coffee, taking my youngest daughter with me. Then Lidl (sorry Craigie, Catherine and BR) to get a bit of shopping for weekend. Didn't mean to drink a whole bottle of whatever that I bought, but I did, so there you are. Heh.
Going to sleep now. But at least tonight, I will sleep!

Nothin' yet ,its too early!
Went down the robin Bilston last night with ar kid,he talked me into going to see a Genesis tribute band G2.
I consumed a few bevvies in preperation for what was to come, an ageing bald midget backed by 3 ex music teachers and 1 of their pupils knocking out phil collins "solo" numbers at the wrong tempo.
WRONG,i could'nt be more wrong if i fell out a wrong tree hitting every wrong branch on the way down!!!
I can honestly say that the band was exceptional, middle aged, but exceptional,
They performed for two and a half hours, great value for 14 quid
songs included --Watcher of the skies,Afterglow, etc
But the highlights for me were A medley from the lamb lies down on Broadway and the tour da force that is Suppers ready, all 23 minutes of it!!
I now have a different opinion of tribute bands along with a sore head and the runs (aah, the radioactive after effects of guiness and chiken madrass,EXCELLENT)

Today? Mainly recovered from yesterday - not quite in the inimitable manner of our lovely Trench, more of a going back to bed scenario. Yesterday? Prepared and shared a beast of a rib of beef with friends, had hoped for Zenmetal & Mrs Zen, but his Dad has sadly taken a turn for the worse, so we scoured our VAST address book - AYE RIGHT!! ;D.......pics of food may follow tomorrow - you'll ALL rue the day Ginnie & Sarge taught me how to post pics!!! ;D SMILE PLEASE!! ;D CLICK ;D Darling Man was all set to hitch up with an old mate who has moved darn sarf and go to the Robin to see G2 - a bereavement rather snuck up and it was not possible after all. They've seen G2 a few times now, rather good by all accounts. Roy Wood at the Robin next week - we'll be there!! Tomorrow? NOT looking forward to so many degrees of heat and humidity in the office - AT ALL!!

Almost forgot - had a goodly chat on ye olde telephonic communication do dah with Milady P of Peacock Castle - she really is a SWEET PEA!! And we had a few laughs too! Today I have been to Wilkinsons and Lidl with my daughter Kate. Apart from that I have been talking to Catherine,(see above) texting Peterb (he's hoping it won't rain) and Ive been pretending to be asleep on the settee so I didn't have to get Sarah's boyfriend anything to eat before he left our house. ARF!!!!
