Last night, I downloaded the Tribute Band/Fan Band footage from my camera with the intent to clean it up a wee bit to send out to the people who tried to get into the webcast - but I must admit, I just wound up watching it ;D
What a great performance, and what a great tribute to this amazing band!
CHAD: great frontman, great vocals, and very respectful to The Man. All kudos to you for rising to the challenge - and making it work.
JACK: big walloping basslines throughout the set - brilliant job. As Chris said - the only man he'd ever let play his bass - says it all.
COLIN: Great backing vox in the true SAHB spirit. You can't retire now mate - there's SAHBstock 09 to think of!
ANDY: classy keyboards - right on the money, and an awesome tribute to Hugh. How the Tigers guys pulled off double-duty with such proffesionalism is beyond me. Fantastic job.
SARGE: Rock solid. You can always see when a drummer puts his back into it - and The Sarge did it for two sets. The beat didn't waver - the engine of SAHBstock.
WEE JOHN: Well what can ya say? AWESOME playing, and ballsy too - to step up in front of a SAHB crowd and do what he did? Credit where credit is due - and the SAHB fans appreciated it!
TOM: when you see the video, with Tom you'll see mostly hair ;D - and then, in Amos Moses, you'll hear him rip into an incredible solo - serious chills. Major talent, and a great bloke in person.
Awesome, *awesome* job - totally respectful to the legacy of SAHB - and brilliantly executed.
