I thought I would start a thread with links to other bands covers of SAHB material on video. To kick us off, some of you may have heard of the Swiss tribute Band "Not The Sensational Alex Harvey Band". Some of their stuff is really good, especially considering they don't have keyboards. As a sample, see the link below for Isobel Goudie, but they a few videos on YouTube. Just search for NSAHB. N'joi ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6ESG5n2tk8&NR=1Here is their website, follow the various links for music & video downloads: www.nsahb.com

We were SORE tempted to get them for the ABC last December Do you mean Fayrewether Catherine? That would have been good. Trying to recall what I read online about him/them. Seems they hail from the USA...mibbes Philly area? Were they on tour here last December or were SAHB going to bring them over from the States?

Actually, no, it seems I don't mean Fayreweather! i must have had a techno gremlin moment, cos when I clicked the link I ended up with the Red Army choir singing "Delilah" - and it is to that which I jokingly alluded As they say in these parts......I'll get ma coat

I love Jackie L's 'Next'. Right up there with SAHBs imo. Here's one worth a shot. Delilah with Christopher Walken. Stay in there for the dancing at the end. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEH5zmAtLks

They're pretty good. Saw their "Man In the Jar" video too. I like how the singer gets into the theatrics. What I really like about Alex was that he had so much charisma that he didn't need much in the way of props. Like when he laughs. Can a laugh be a prop? Man, he was good. I don't know what some of my friends think of me sometimes. I'll ask them if they ever heard of SAHB - which of course they have not. Then I play them some of their material, asking them to be quiet and really listen to the music, knowing that they probably will never hear it again - this is their chance to discover something great. I'm usually dissappointed in their response, and I become perplexed that they didn't recognize brilliance is what was just played. It's not just me, huh?
