Alrighty gang,
I'm sure I've asked this before, but my memory isn;t what it used to be so forgive me for asking again - *if* I recall correctly, there were two versions of the Zalvation CD released - one in a jewel case and one with the cardboard fold-out thingy. Is the sleeve the only difference?
I know the DVD was a different show.
Anyone?
Cheers!

Ok here goes, first and foremost how you doin' old chap, hope yer up and about with yer "new fuel pump"
As for Zalvation, i have heard that the first issue was not so hot, and that the second version benefitted from some clever studio overdubbing.....alledgedly!!!
I believe it was recorded in Inverness as evidenced by Max Giving His Compliments to Inverness, the Zalvation Dvd was recorded in the Garage in Glasgow and benefits from some handsome devils down the front (you all know who you are!!!)
It also had Gang Bang and Last of the Teenage Idols on it, and had Zal on top form, especially when he proclaims "Wha'?.....a man's gotta tune up for fucks sake!" with a mischevious smile, top notch entertainment from the greatest band in the world.
At this point we gotta ask, "what the f**k happened??"

I also noticed that the first version (jewel case one) was a lot quieter in the mix.

Yeah the first CD had bits n pieces like the intro at the end of the previous track and athough very enjoyable to listen to was greatly improved by the time we got the repackaged second one. I currently have 4 copies. The original jewel case, the first run of the second lot. A copy i bought in HMV just to buy one!!! And a signed copy i got in the auction at the charity gig in Howden in erm 200? oh and a copy/copy in the car multi-changer oh and one in the juke box & iphone
