Frowned upon in schools? Most school here let you dress up in a Halloween costume the last school day before Halloween. Even a lot of people working in supermarkets or department stores and other workplaces can dress up too. And trick or treating seen as begging? Wow. Now that really is different. Also not opening your door unless you knew the kids. We didn't have a busy night last night - only had about twenty kids trick or treating. So I guess I'll have to eat all the leftover chocolate bars. But I do know some people who had 100-150 kids at their door! No one would dream of letting their kids go round the doors to strangers. I'm horrified that people would let their kids do that. No worries, I live in Canada! Actually, most kids are accompanied by their parents these days.

Wow its big time here- i did it as a kid and living in the city, we went from apartment to apartments bringing home shopping bags of candy ; small toys; pocket change;fruit with Liz(when she was little),living here in the suburbs, a huge shopping commons stays open after hours and the kids go from store to store and have a parade- all the schools have something, including the college Liz is at now. Me. I just answer the door all night-had about 50 or so-I don't dress up tho-I'm scary enough as is ;D

I just answer the door all night-had about 50 or so-I don't dress up tho-I'm scary enough as is ;D I always found that it was rare to be able to enter an apartment building - there would usually be someone in the lobby handing out candy - you couldn't go to each apartment. There were a few exceptions though. Nowadays, the kids only go out for an hour or so. Back in the day I'd be out all night -well, till ten or so - halfway through I'd come home and empty my candy bag (usually a pillow case) and go out again. I treasured the chocolate bars and cans of pop! Hated those molasses Halloween candy, but ate them anyway. Its funny that Halloween originates in the U.K. - I guess they're too civilized to celebrate it much anymore! ;D

I was actually looking for Tip of the Week, or something like that, no joy - but I did find this, which will do very nicely; it's seasonal and has a pile of great Ginnie posts on it.....
Are you fed up with having to leave your headphones in a heap? Wires a-wandering?
Darling Man's latest......perfect!! ;D
