Good Evening Boys and Girls........... I have recieved some private mails recently from friends. I hope this clears up any confusion.
I know we read this 'Official SAHB' Forum for the latest news on SAHB, what they're up to individually......and we're all hoping one day to be told they're reforming as a unit to gig again ! The Tartan Clefs at the weekend was promising......and very close !.... We can but hope. ....However.
While SAHB remained dormant, 5 SAHBfan-musicians from Glasgow, put together their own 'Tribute band' .....a few 'memory-jogger' gigs that would hopefully be a 70's-SAHB 'nostalgia-trip'
for those wanting to hear the songs played live again...... 'Thankyou for all your kind words and support about our performances of the 'impossible dream' we were trying to recreate. I hope you agree, Richy McKay is a sensational 'find' as 'Alex'.
Graham Platt (Sarge) has left the Tribute band, for 'personal reasons ??'.
His able-replacement is Davey Halley, who is the drummer in Chris Glen's Outfit. We have 2 further gigs booked, Crook in England on 27th Dec........ and we hope to be involved in a 'Night of Alex Harvey Music', (covering his career in music ) in Glasgow on SATURDAY 5th FEBRUARY 2011.....all in aid of The Alex Harvey People's Palace Memorial fund........... details , for anyone interested, will follow shortly.....
Sarge has deleted his profile and stopped reading this forum.[unconfirmed]
Sarge is no longer part of The SAHTB [Confirmed]
Hope this answers a few questions...........March on !
