So, I'm thinkin'
Clapton, Moore, West, Janey etc. Have all come to the point where they put out a blues album of their favorites.
Wouldn't it something if Zal would oblige the same. I realize these things cost money, but look at the funds raised for the People's Palace Memorial. There has to be a wee bit more of artistic juice left in the tank. Wouldn't even have to "tour". Could even resurrect Tear Gas for the recordings Any opinions??
Oh- What would your song wish list be ?

Well, I would do this a different way... frankly I don't want to hear Zal do an all blues album - I think that would be wasting the opportunity - he's such a wide ranging guitarist that I wouldn't confine him to the blues... that said, here is my non-blues list:
Width of A Circle (Bowie) Halo of Flies (Alice Cooper) Tonights the Night (Neil Young) Prodigal Son (stones) Not Fade Away (Buddy Holly) Re-make/Re-model (Roxy Music) Gimme Danger (The Stooges) L.A. Woman (The Doors) Highway Star (Deep Purple) All the Way to Memphis (Mott the Hoople) Izabella (Hendrix) Ride On (AC/DC) Monterey (The Animals)
All those songs give Zal room to input his own creative licks!

All great tunes-something I could hear SAHB doing-but I want the focus on Zal-the back up really is inconsequential And I'm no just talking electric either The kind of thing that you would "wow Thats Zal?" Maybe some Robert Johnson interpretations or T-Bone Walker-that sort of a thing (I like The Buddy Holly in the mix)

It's kinda bluesy depending on how you play it - Buddy stole the riff from Bo Diddley anyway. And the Stones version was bluesy.

i don't remeber some solo accoustics from Zal, but very coll Elkie Brooks performacies :-)
youp Loydie, colwin bay is famus and cocktail Sticks too (SAHB Stories Cover), but were small in workfree days (we take our hollidays and our own money to come over, the earned mones it's 25% from the real cost's but we really like to do such things) For this year it will be difficult, sadly, but not definitif impossible.
Cheers to all
