Bless him, hope he isn't too giddy after his trip to your house in sunny Shropshire. (its probably raining, but that doesnt start with 's' and rain is miserable anyway) I'm sure he will be a very good house guest....just keep him off the rum and coke!!

Indeed it was sluicing down with monsoon style rain when Minnie Ginnie got here - luckily, he was in a poly pocket from the office - phew!! (I said ages ago he should've been laminated!!)
He is quite excited but has had no rum and coke, not even a sniff of my wine - I think a gentle settling in and an early night will do him good. He has done a wee photo shoot for you though, so's you can rest easy that he's ok.
MG was SO excited when he saw Zal's gold disc, that he ran up the wall and hung by his heels!!!!
Then, a more proper round of introductions, I'm eager for MG to feel at home and comfortable here. First up, the crystal snow family (I've promised not to light any of the many candles until I'm quite sure that MG is fire retardant)
he even has his own Christmas tree.....
But that didn't stop him clambering up our Christmas tree in the conservatory - I just put it down to boyish high spirits - not alcoholic sort of spirits!!
Comparing stripeys with Rock Pig, two pretty cool SAHB fans, I'm hoping they'll get along.....
The Lladro ladies are a bit on the haughty side at first but MG thinks they're very pretty, I hope he isn't missing the Forget-me-Not Fairy.........
Little Radley is more than happy to keep Minnie Ginnie company - just in case he's missing Maggie
Paddington is a friendly kind of bear - in fact, he has ordered marmalade sandwiches for the pair of them for supper
And so to bed; an early night seems like a good idea, with his fur comforter and satin pillow, Minnie Ginnie has cleaned his teeth, said his prayers and snuggles down to sleep. (how do you get him to take off his stripey before going to bed, Ginnie? )

Catherine, could you please tell MG not to hang upside down by his heels.....the blood will rush to his head!! He rather took me by surprise but I soon scooped him up and put him right road up - he was looking a little flushed, I have to say!! Luckily, he's snoring gently now. Aw!

MG pretty much takes care of himself. I just try to steer him away from bad influences. He's more likely to influence someone else than get influenced himself though!

looks like Santa knew just where to find Minnie Ginnie!!
MG can only splutter "OMG!! OMG!!" he managed to stop jigging about long enough to pose with his pressies
Uh oh!!! Looks like Santa didn't realise just how mini Minnie Ginnie is - his festive knit is a bit XXXL!!
Must dash - there's a dreadful hollering from the garden.....

What a wee rascal!!! Minnie Ginnie thought he might get some holly & ivy from the garden to decorate the table later on today.........I asked him to wait but no.....not MG, into the holly he clambered....
Then up into the ivy that grows in a hanging basket - directly above the water lily tub.......what could possibly go wrong???!!
The source of the shouting in the garden earlier........I did warn him......
Casually doing the backstroke - still clutching the prized holly!!

Having decided to make good use of the time off work and do the jobs that I tend to save "for another day", I set about tidying the make up and hair product cupboard - well, Minnie Ginnie, keen to help did those two, I did the other three of hair brushes, jewellery and "stock".
You can see what a task the little fellow had, it only took a 21st birthday party, a trip to Barnsley and a Christmas "do" to get it into this state - so - before......
Four hours later......including several tea breaks - MG had done a grand job, even inventing a clever way to store those tricky hair bands.......I remain unsure as to why I have a hairband with sequinned black and white cat ears on it........
That's to say, I thought he'd done a grand job, until I surfaced from the bottom shelf which houses the Crown Jewels of All Vibrania.....how, in the name of goodness, am I to get this lot off MG's phizzog??!! Gold eyeshadow, purple eyeliner, frosted red lips and nails and false eyelashes - I don't possess false lashes, so I shudder to think - did he bring them with him? Is he a glam rocker or a cross dresser??!!
I dunno, did he think he looked like Zal? Strikes me he had more of a look of Barbara Cartland about him!!

Now you know what I go through sometimes, Catherine! The little rascal finds trouble where there ain't none before. Its been so peaceful here lately.

My heart goes out to you Sir Gin - no wonder you ship me laddo out at every opportunity!! It does seem that he has a gift (mibbes got it from Craigie Deeee!!!!!) for getting up to no good the second he's on his own - having learned this the hard way, yesterday, still making good use of time off, I had MG help with the tangle that is the handbag shelf - he did very well again too!!
Before.......
After - it doesn't take long, so I thought MG wouldn't get bored and get up to mischief; he did the evening bags, the others are a bit too big for him to handle
OMG!!!! Where is Minnie Ginnie?? The work is done but has he fallen into a handbag?? Is he drowning in the sea of stripeys that lives just to the right???
Cheeky monkey! He finished his shelf before I finished mine and has decided to take the make up and glam rock look further!! What does he think he looks like??!!
Undecided between glam rock & cross dressing (Eddie Izzard was on tv and may well have further influenced the young scamp!!) MG is in a number so sparkly and glittery even the camera couldn't look for too long without being dazzled, he had to pose in the shadows for the colours to be seen - he was most emphatic about that!! I do hope he doesn't stay so confused on the Arthur or Martha front

Minnie Ginnie and I have had a good talk about his most recent "adventures". He is penitent and full of remorse - he says. Good, says I, let's get that slap of your chops and get you booted and suited - we're off to Kington today, to visit Penny and Grinch erm, Peter.

Well, you have him on the right path? Dresses?
Good to see he's tiding up for you - did you know he was caretaker of our junk drawer? And you know what that looks like!

I wish I'd known he was keeper of your junk drawer - he can stay in ours while I'm at work this morning!! That'll keep him out of bother..........I agree, I think a trip to Glasgow will sort out MG's confusion and he'll surely be set straight!!

Yesterday, we were invited to dinner by Darling Man's Darling Sister; she lives SO close to Milady Penny's country estate that I couldn't NOT visit Penny first. MG scrubbed up well enough and promised to behave.........
Minnie Ginnie bought these in Ludlow, as a festive food joke for Penny - he then neglected to give them to her
We travelled sixty miles, door to door, MG has now been clear across Shropshire from east to west, wriggled into Wales a little bit then arrived safely in Herefordshire. Milady was ever so pleased to see the young chap again - so much so, she gave him a glass of wine too!!!
Inspired (and relieved) to hear that Minnie Ginnie is keeper of the junk drawer at home, in Canada, I left him to do his best with our junk drawer, while I was at work, this morning
Before.......
After........much tidier, well done MG!!

After that glass of wine at your place, Pen, MG nodded off in the car.......so we left him there, snoozing gently, while we had dinner........
