i want to sleep for a few days now thank you That's exactly how I felt, MG!!! You gotta get rested and refreshed to with Milady Penny
I still think laminated is a good idea - this is a PROPER big boat you're going on this time.......will see if I can get MG laminated for the holiday, if not he will just have to be especially careful, bless him. I hope he is looking forward to going to Venice, maybe he could have a float in a gondola. ;D We will be going to Gibraltar on the way back, so I will keep MG well away from the naughty, smelly monkeys. They are horrible.

Only a few more days now MG, going to make you a bathing suit tomorrow, so we will both have new ones. Catherine has made you two lovely new suits and one of the evenings is going to be black and white theme so your stripey will be just right, There will be lots of new people and places for you to get to know. Maybe you can have a sail in a gondola in Venice and do some Greek dancing in Corfu.

Right, all packed and ready for the off tomorrow. Train to Southampton at 9.30, should arrive at 12. Set sail on the seven seas, Minnie Ginnie Peter and Me at about 3.30. MG and myself are hoping to find a bar for a rum and coke before we board. Going to miss everyone and can't bloody text anyone either. Peterb will be delighted at a quiet life for a change! Lol See you all in 16 days. Kisses. (WILL keep up with the diet, Vic!)

OMG!!! That timing couldn't be worse, Penny!! Minnie Ginnie is BOUND to get involved (and mess up) the commemorative thing going on for the Titanic today - PLEASE keep him off the rum & coke until you're on board your own ship - I think it'd be for the best.
Meantime -
BON VOYAGE!!

I can't help feeling guilty about Minnie Ginnie's fondness for rum and coke. Maybe I shouldn't have encouraged him on that first trip of his

Maybe I shouldn't have encouraged him on that first trip of his Oh, Pete, you mustn't feel guilty - I think we all know by now that Minnie Ginnie is very much his own paper doll, erm, man, although he does seem to be be somewhat easily led, he would have found rum and coke sooner or later - or maybe even worse!!
They got on board the cruise ship safely, have a nice cabin and have attended the safety talk - so far, MG seems to be behaving himself - so far.
Seems most of the passengers are in their 50s and upwards, so maybe he'll just enjoy being mothered. Penny has chatted to a few already and Peter is not happy. Which is a good thing, as it's the only time he's happy!!

Received this message today from Sarah, Penny's daughter
I just had a call from my mum from the cruise, and she wanted me to tell you that she can't send any texts, but she can recieve them, so she has had texts people have sent.
She wanted you to know in case you were worried and asked if you could tell other people who might be texting her too?
No word of Minnie Ginnie I'm afraid

has anyone checked under the lounge chairs by the pool? I mean all those beautiful women-you know MG after all he's not made of wood..well technically ..... Catherine was right Vic, if MG had hidden under the lounge chairs hoping to find beautiful women sitting on them he would have been sorely disappointed.....he would have found a lot of very elderly men and women sunning their arthritis!! ;D MG has been very well behaved, apart from sneaking into the Captain's special, by invitation only lunch, which we hadn't been invited to. By all accounts he was caught having a slurp or several from various glasses as the waiters were clearing up, he had a big soppy grin on his face when they brought him back to the cabin, sneezed several times, fell over and promptly went to sleep in my handbag. I have taken some photos of MG on board, but wasn't always able to take him on trips off the ship as the weather was either rainy or very windy! He's had a lovely time though, watching different shows every night, dancing, singing, watching films and chatting to lots of different people. I was very glad of his company. Will get Sarah to help me put the photos on after the weekend. Best trip of the holiday was to Venice, but what an expensive place! A bottle of Coke was £5..... In St. Marks Square an espresso coffee was £6 - £7, a cappucino £9 to £10. The cafe's charge more if you want to sit outside, needless to say the seats were empty. A beautiful place to see though and the only sunny day! ;D

Where's the little rascal gone now? Is he on his way home to be with Ginnie - he must be so excited at the thought of going to Topsail!!
Oddly, I kinda miss the wee fella - I tidied the airing cupboard all by myself last weekend.........I'm sure he could have managed the handtowels......

Ginnie had a good read of Peter's birthday cards and was all dressed up for a meal out to celebrate. Peter wasn't happy about people talking while he was trying to read. Ooops! Minnie Ginnie kept Peter company in the library MG enjoyed the word search puzzle, but we couldn't find any Forget-Me-Nots. MG in his other best suit on a formal night. 'Thanks for making these for me, Catherine!' Oh dear, the trip back was very rough, MG didn't like being in the Bay of Biscuit!! The Oriana docked in Kotor, Montenegro. As you can see the weather wasn't very good! The weather was much better in Gibraltar, last stop on the way home. Minnie Ginnie had pizza to eat for lunch and a rum and coke or several before setting off, rather wobbly back to the ship.
