I believe we're trying to change the tree to a silver birch. The area selected for planting has only silver birch there.
Who knows, if the fund was to keep receiving donations, perhaps a rowan tree (or linden ) near to where Alex's ashes were scattered NEXT year..........

and the Shy Retiring Alex would wish to blend in.......... I have a small transplantable stray silver birch lurking in my garden--- first here with a spade...........
