If Paul Newman can do salad dressing, then Platterpete can most certainly do pickle!!! Darling Man likes a nice pickle, they have a really good selection at the farm shop but I've never seen Platterpete's Pickle...........so to speak

Something is missing here...
Anyways I've made pickles a few times - lots of garlic and if you're a bit bolder put in a jalepeno pepper! Was thinking of producing some Vibrania Hot & Garlic pickles this year.

Sorry to confuse you all. This thread was started by me out of desperation. I cannot find a shop that sells my favourite pickle: I was asking for help from any direction. I thought I'd found it in my local Sainsbury's but no, they don't sell it anymore. So I am still after it (the pickle that is ) CAN ANYBODY HELP? ?

Darling Man - retail demon, second to none, says it's readily available in supermarkets...........I, however, suspect a sneaky snaffling of stocks of same.....
Has Platterpete's preferred pickle been pilfered; where's the pratt that pinched the perfect pickle that Platterpete prefers?
All exits shall remain sealed until such times as the pickle poacher has been properly apprehended and proffered a proper explanation.

perhaps a prudent plan procured thru a propinquitous purveyor of pickles and Pete would possibly prove brobdingnagian ?

Well, Pete and I hunted high (Waitrose) and low (The £ Shop), Sainsbury's, Tesco and Spar in the city centre but no pickle did we manage to pick!
Will try Sainsbury's near me tomorrow and if I have time, Home Bargains. Determined to try to find the stuff!!

That's how I found my almost impossible to track down favoured range of nail care...........not 10 minutes from home - after trawling round Glasgow, Birmingham and London in years gone by!!!

Platterpete cannot locate his preferred pickle Heinz Tangy has completely disappeared There's none in Tesco, none in Asda - Looks like it's worse than first we feared!!
He's tried bringing out the Branston, Had a lick of Mrs Ball's - Sweet and fiery chilli jam? No, they just won't do - at all!!
He's even tried the home made stuff, Jarred and pickled on the farm - It left his sandwich tasteless - But didn't do any real harm.
He's gonna have to Google it, To trace the nearest store. No stock, nowhere, is what Pete finds - RIGHT!!! NOW - he's going to write to Heinz!!
Dear Mr Heinz, is what first he wrote, This here absentee pickle is getting my goat! A jar of your Tangy, sir, now, if you please - I'll even go down upon bended knees!!
My sandwiches are boring, All bland, no tang, no bite. The truth, I state here, Mr Heinz - My sandwiches are shite!!
I want not for the moon on a stick I am not demanding or fickle I'd simply like, my dear Mr Heinz, A jar of my favouritest Heinz Tangy Pickle.

Had a lovely reply from Heinz within minutes. My pickle is stocked in Sainsbury stores and Nisa as well as some convenience stores. They can't guarantee which branches sell it though. Email to Sainsburys and Nisa next I will get there
