Annoying celebrities who have no obvious talent. Especially when they are advising others on judging panels!!!

Bedroom Tax has to be the most pathetic thing the government has put upon us in a very long time. Punishing people for living in a house with an extra room....What about these toffs in their mansions? Don't they get a lot more money from the taxpayer than the wee people?
It doesn't affect me but I've seen the damage it causes.

The bedroom tax should be put into Room 101 every hour, on the hour, lest it be thought that it's ok.
Affecting neither me nor mine, this highwayman of a tax is the making of the government that thought all council house tenants should have the right to buy the home they rented from the local authority. Nice thought and the scheme generated enough cash for us to afford a "conflict" in the Falklands but also disposed of a very high percentage of our available social housing.
So, now, families who were allocated a house to fit their family, rented from the council, have raised their children, seen them off on the path to their own lives and who, now, for one reason or another, are in receipt of state income/benefits, are to be taxed on the bedrooms not in constant use in their home.
No-one thought to replace the homes that were sold, so there has long been a shortage of social housing, there is nowhere to which these people can be decanted; no one or two bedroom homes into which they could be downsized; hence this national disgrace, this outrage that is known as the bedroom tax.
In the West Midlands, on the news just last week, one woman in her fifties took her own life, by throwing herself into the path of an oncoming lorry on the motorway. She cited, in her suicide note, the government and the £80 bedroom tax they expected from her, as the only reason she was compelled to kill herself. The other victims are her family and that poor driver.
This was not meant to be a rant and is therefore on the wrong thread, however, once I started typing, I realised just how very, very wrong this tax is, the true cost will be human suffering, inflicted on those, who, in the main, have more than enough to contend with.

Cold callers on the phone - just as you sit down for tea.
Chuggers - aka charity muggers in the high street - no, I won't give you my bank details - same goes for the ones that call to the front door.

Unsolicited junk phone calls - if they ask for Mrs Biffen, they're obviously running through the phone directory and I say "no-one here of that name, you have the wrong number" or "oh, didn't you know? she's dead" both of which are perfectly true!!The trick is to get that in first and hang up before they get the chance to rattle off their script!

Cold callers on the phone - just as you sit down for tea. Oh yes grrr! I know this brings work to many people but it's so annoying. Does anyone here actually buy products or services off these smug sales people who call you at the most inconvenient times. How marvellous it would be to be able to hit back, like this guy in the States did ;D

Im putting in Room 101 the coffee table that sits in Helen's Mum's house, Her auld Maw turned round and fell over it, luckily I was there to grab her round the waist as her face plummeted to the tile top poor wee soul, blind and deaf and 86 years old, god knows what would have happened if we weren't there.

Today I would throw head first into Room 101 the dog walkers that leave their dog poop down the lanes behind my house. Dirty buggers, they should carry bags to pick it up.

karma Ian. there are two political parties in America, they have deeply divided the country's citizenry, they both have the same agenda which has absolutely nothing to do with freedom for the country's citizens. The agenda of both political parties is absolute power for them and only them. May they dwell forever in Room 101. rant over.

There should be another room/place where we could put all the things we want to exhalt... Like Andy Murray donating all his prize money (for winning at Queens) to charity and then going on to play an exhibition match with the proceeds going to another good cause. If anyone has any ideas what that room would be called, please start another thread.

I had a horrible thought on the way to work yesterday morning.........these donations to charity of massive prize money purses.........couldn't be anything to do with not having to pay tax if you give it to charity.......I hope not but still suspect so.
Thread name - Top Cat, Top Dog or Top or Full Marks.......not too inspired, I know, someone will come up with better, for sure.....we do have a "well done" thread.....
