Alex and Folklore

I'm currently writing an article on Isobel Goudie, including the SAHB song of the same name. It got me thinking about how Alex may have been influenced by folklore in his music as potential article, and was wondering what other fans thought? 

I missed Alex sadly as he died literally weeks before I was born. He's one of my favourite musicians and I'm incredibly green my mother in law got to see him live at the Appollo in Glasgow.

Hello MJ, welcome to the Forum! A fan of Alex since 1974 when I saw the Sensational Alex Harvey Band at the first Knebworth festival. I think that Alex was profoundly influenced by folklore and just about everything related to literature music and the arts. Good luck with your article, post it here when you can, I have a feeling it will be sensational!
