Great reports and photos folks ;D Wish I was there SAHB must MARCH ON... I have, just this very evening, conveyed this much echoed sentiment to His Chrisness. Max, I know from his email (wherein he mentioned in passing that the band's reviews were almost as good as mine - OOOOO! Bobble hats at 20 paces ;D) has been following your reviews and kind words, I'm guessing Julian & Wes likewise - I'm just waiting for a call back from J. Ted has rather a plateful at present but I'm sure he'll catch up soon. Strike while the iron is hot chaps - so say we to SAHB

Right heres my views on Sunday nights gig for what its worth.I'm not very good at reviewing things, thats already been done by all my other SAHBster friends, but the gig itself was one of the very best i've seen with Alex, without Alex, and Max absolute first class. The band even made me miss 15 mins of a Chelsea match to see the sound check! Lots of faces put to names on here special mention to Swapsnake who gave me a cuddle despite supporting Manure.Catherine and hubby were their usual helpfull and cheery selves. Thanks to Platter for keeping up with me in rounds. I will also add Julien was brilliant make him a full time member please!!!!!!!!! I think the band should come to a quick decision on this and let MAX have his 100th gig soon so we can all do it over again. Keep the faith

What a gig! What a set!! What a night!!! Brilliant!!!! I never heard anything like it – they were on fire! Jumping about like young un’s in their Hawaiian shirts! “Wipeout” was better than the original, and they really rocked the house with “Who do you love” . But when they did “Louie Louie” - well that really lit the lights on my Christmas tree!
Oh, and SAHB were pretty good too…..
Just got back. Son of Widmark had the map. What can I say!

Has anyone mentioned our Max yet? I love him! And I love what he brings to the show!! The little mistakes with the words, the slight altering of the set list, the way he engages with the crowd – when he should be singing the next line! This is seriously good music for people who don’t take life too seriously and Max does a brilliant job at keeping it that way.
Hats off to Max. Or furry hood. Or whatever he happens to be wearing.

Not sure if i should post this really been thinking about it for a day or two but hey ho! My Dad was born in Nantwich and sunday was the fourth anniversary of his passing (bless him) so the day started a bit low key for us really. Add to that Mrs Wanderer always gets a bit teary thinking of Alex(just been watching some clips on you tube and the old girl was filling up). Still, the day ended nicely with that cracking gig. At risk of repetition, please keep it rolling fellah s

Chris - being a boy and being in the middle of a December tour, is most likely not to remember and I always chose not to remind him, lest it take away from what he could give to that night's crowd. Last year was the most weird as I had undertaken to ensure that one chap had a 50th birthday celebration to really remember. She would understand and smile

Pardon? Did you say something Sarge? I love your responses - you can bank on them with real money and everything ;D
The mood is, at present VERY positive, with the general feeling that they've not come this far, over the last few years, to just stop.
HOWEVER, there are several vital aspects of the business end of things which need to be addressed and brought to a satisfactory conclusion, before further progress can be made.
All in all, it's looking hopeful, the fans' fabulous reception of Julian obviously being key. The phenomonal loyalty and support that the band has from the fans is critical too - no point with no fans.
I'm not holding back, that's all there is for now - but I heard it from them as knows. (probably get banished now - hey ho!)
