They do a pretty good version of I Want To Make Love to You. Much different from SAHBs. And I like Fool for the City.

Fool For The City Energized Rock N Roll Outlaws Live Return of the Boogie Men Actually, I like them all; shame they're all dead (Sh it! yet another band I forgot I saw live-a lot of "energy")

Absolutely love em! ;D All the above are worth a listen, perhaps start with the live album - widely regarded as a classic We had tickets to see them at Hammersmith Odeon way back when (late 70's?) but they pulled out for some reason, so never did get to see them

There was a track played on Planet Rock last week and it put Freebird to shame, I didn't get the title of it so I looked on Spotify and they have loads of the stuff.

How very dare you try Green grass and high tides by the outlaws its amazing live if thats the one the guitarist Hughie Tomasson later joined a proper band ;D ;D The Outlaw's self-titled debut album remains one of my all-time favorite recordings. Not only great music, but excellent production value and engineering on that record! I never felt that any of their subsequent releases ever matched this one. As for Foghat, a fun band. Great boogie and bluesy rock and roll. Saw them open for Rod Stewart back in the early 70's (before Rod had his disco diversion). My favorite Rod Stewart recording was actually on Jeff Beck's "Truth" album. What a MONSTER record! And you talk about your super groups...wow...Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones...great, great record!

Nearly got to see Foghat, once... Had a ticket for a gig at Hammersmith Odeon but they cancelled the tour. Must have been around 78? Still got the ticket somewhere Thanks for that 'Truth' recommendation Stuart, I'll check that out
