Ahh, those guys can't play guitar well if they're not on the list!
Alvin Lee knows his stuff as well as Clapton does IMHO.
...And no Zal as well.

Regarding Clapton: I know he plays guitar really well - one of the best, but I find him BORING most of the time. I don't know why, but emotionally he doesn't do anything for me. I rather hear BB, or Muddy instead. They don't play as fast but their notes do more.

The thing with these lists are they're all down to the personal opinion of who votes & also who influenced the voter in their formative years.

I mean someone who get's overlooked a lot is Alex Lifeson who is an awesome guitarist.
What about Steve Rothery of Marillion?
Reeves Gabrels, Carlos Alomar & Earl Slick ( all Bowie guitarists)
Pat Travers.

I can't stand Steve Vai i'm afraid, all that guitar wanking does nothing for me. I think Satriani's a bit like that too!
