Hi, ***EDIT*** The good folks of the forum inform me their is also a Scottish tribute. So, by my reckoning we're maybe like, the world's 3rd best tribute. I believe there's only 3. Ah well. We're planning to come over from Switzerland in 2010 August 16 to 29th and play some gigs around Scotland. Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and of course Glasgow are cities we plan to play. If anyone has any suggestions for venues, (and of course it doesn't have to be in those four cities), we'd be much obliged for the help! We're not looking for massive places. Good pub gigs are the kind of thing we're looking to do. So if you know of a good place, please don't be shy!Cheers to you all and Vambo roolz, Gordon www.myspace.com/nsahbwww.nsahb.com

Hi, I'm in the world's only tribute to SAHB... well actually, I think we *were* the only tribute but there is actually now one in the US now that we know of. Cheers Serge I replied via email!
i hope we're not raining on anyone's parade or anything by covering the mighty SAHB! We aren't a one for one, we surely know that. We are what it say on the tin, Not The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. That's to say a group of guys who have loved the music for decades.
Anyhoo if anyone knows a venue that'd maybe be right for us, please let me know.

Also for the curious, here's the Cleveland tribute:- www.myspace.com/vamborools The singer really does have a lot of Alex in his voice imo.

They need a better singer and get rid of a guitar player. I found it hard to listen to them for any length of time. They were doing a pretty good job of "Man In the Jar" but when the vocals started I had to turn it off. Also "Vambo Rools" has TWO guitars plus keyboards - your band has only one guitar and no keyboard but twice the energy...

Hi Gordon
I've been watching/listening to your Vids for quite a while now and have been in contact with you before. As far as I know, you are the original tribute band.
I look forward to seeing you & the lads live on your tour. Good luck!

never knew there were another 2 tribute bands!!!! ;D my advice to anyone wanting to take something like this out on tour would be; dont risk too much as you may not get the return that you deserve/require. its well documented that sahb dont fill halls and get bums on seats like they used to but a lot has changed over the years. you'd still get the diehard harvey fans comin out to see you though. (meaning me and mines may head out if your playin glasgow or auld reekie) all im saying is dont remortage the house to fund a tour round scotland. not trying to discourage this, far from it, i'd be interested to see it happen. keep us posted!! ;D oh aye, reckon both singers and players in these two "new" sahb tribute bands are great they both have a harvey-esque quality about them. peace n jam n love chad

Cheers guys!
Good advice Chad. We really just want to play decent pub gigs. Size of say Cafe Drummond in Aberdeen and stuff like that. Connect with SAHB fans too. In Switzerland we always go down pretty well, but it's odd cause 90% of our audience have no idea who SAHB are until they see us. So, we thought it'd be nice to bring it home in a manner of speaking.
We're not coming for the money. We all have day jobs and don't live off the music. It's a love of the music that brings us over.
