Webcast a no-go......but DVD is on

To all who tried to watch the proposed webcast last night from the Admiral - my apologies, we tried our very best, but the club's internet connection could best be described as steam-driven - we didn't stand a chance.

I tried to email everyone - but even *that* was having problems, so if you didn't get an email letting you know - I'm sorry!

All the kit had been tested, but when we got onsite, all I could transmit was a still picture.

So sorry guys.

But: the good news, I've done a quick scan through the tapes from last night and we have about 5 hours of footage for you to see - full sets from ALL acts, rehearsal, and soundcheck.

Please contact me directly, and I will send you the raw camera feeds on DVD. I'll just copy the AVI files onto disk, and you'll be able to watch them on Windows Media Player etc. Please note that the video and audio will be untouched and unedited, so you may get some distortion etc - buy from what I saw when I got in last night, they're well worth having

My apologies once again, and please let me know when I can send the DVD's to.

Due to technical difficulties of course, I couldn't see the webcast. Sat around all day drinking, waiting...hooked up with victor, sahb76 and jesther on MSN. I ran out of ale so I had to continue on somewhere else.
Ending up going out to a jam, and even managed to squeeze in a couple of SAHB numbers - Snakebite, Vambo - I was thinking of you guys then!
.For once I got to play guitar and keyboards instead of bass.

I'm thinking maybe here we could use MSN in the future for some get togethers. I hooked up a webcam and victor now knows that I have a bald spot.

But congrats everybody, it seems like everyone enjoyed themselves. I hope minnie me behaved.

Thanks for being decent about it all - I was well disappointed when I got there, and it was clear from the get-go that this wasn't going to fly.

BUT! I'll get the tapes copied during the week, and get the DVD's out to everyone asap.

I agree with Ginnie - MSN would be a great way to get together in future. With decent web connections, it's very doable.
