Queen's 1982 album Hot Space was pretty much universally maligned when it came out, and I have to admit, I'm not much of a fan of it myself - BUT: at least one song from it takes on entirely new dimensions when played live.
Here's some eyewateringly tight interplay between Roger Taylor and Brian May - Staying Power live at Milton Keynes, 1982
Stunning!

Here's the intro to the same show - utterly thrilling IMHO. Queen in prime form.

Did anybody see the show from 1975 recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon on BBC2 last night.
Was a Queen fan upto & including a Day at the races then went right off them.

Damn, would have loved to see that again - that was a GREAT concert. Had no idea it was on. That's one show that deserves a DVD release.

Have just chosen A Night At the Opera to take to the Desert Island with me. It was World Aids Day yesterday - Something that seems to be either completely forgotten or brushed under the carpet.
