On about the 'Glasgow Gun', not the 'Gurvitz Gun' here Saw them at Hard Rock Hell in Wales this weekend, and what a revalation they were! Was down the front from the first band on the main stage, just so I had a great spot for Monster Magnet (the reason I was there), and was expecting to quite like them despite not knowing much by them - but they were BRILLIANT! Toby Jepson from Little Angels on vocals too. And one of the best drummers of the weekend, guessing he's a fellow Ginger Baker fan? ;D

Complemented me on my snare drum sound the last time I saw him & was amazed when I told him my snare is just a regular Mapex job & not one costing hundreds. Preffered the old Gun with Mark Rankin on vox.

The Virgin Mary's are a band that Sue and Dave used to follow all over the place.
I miss those two, haven't seen them since Glasgow when Cavey was giving us all lifts!
