To be honest the main reason i put up the Unofficial Event piece was.....Quite simply it was unofficial..IE it was not organized by SAHB or anyone representing SAHB...and i thought if folk thought is was official they then quite reasonably would think that SAHB could / would be at the event, which could have lead to disappointment when indeed they were not....And on a personal note i kind of thought this years event would end like this, so with the benefit of hindsight I'm glad the event was described as Fan Organized And Presented This is not belittling the fine work / performances and good time that was had...it just keeps SAHB / the official site out of the complaints department. And because i hate typing i think that's a good thing..

And because i hate typing i think that's a good thing.. Mike, maybe you should write up a "mission statement" for this forum. Is it a place for SAHB fans to congregate and yap to each other about stuff? Is their some sort of "SAHB philosophy" that we should be trying to live up to or propagate? As it stands right now, any SAHB fan coming across this forum on the web would think we're a bunch of lunatics... Why? Is it because we rarely discuss the music of SAHB? Or their influence, history and importance? Sure, I know its mentioned from time to time, but mostly we post funny pictures and smiley faces. I learned from my reactions last week to a fellow forum member that there should be a higher ground than the bickering that goes on here. I "made up" with Chad and TK too because what I was upset about was trivial and not worth my relationship being destroyed with friends here. No, I'm not saying that we can't have disputes here - what I am saying is that if you do have a "disagreement" with someone, always - ALWAYS - treat that person with dignity and respect. That means not getting nasty in your comments and no insulting behavior. For heaven's sake folks, lets not be mean to each other. There's enough meanness already in this world - lets not add to it. I know its hard to make up after a rumble, but lets try really, really, hard to do so. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride. All you need is love.

Folks should see things as they are; Mike gives more than enough of his time - and then some - without writing mission statements for the hard of thinking. Sorry Ginnie, I do hear what you're saying.
As I've said before, it's all a bit tricky, what, with Alex still dead and the band dormant as a dormouse; the common bond on here seems to be that we are all fans of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band; not particularly Alex, nor indeed, just the sensational band.
If anyone out there can make the forum more SAHBby - go for it - but it is still all a bit tricky.
