That said, I hope it isn't true. His period with the Stones was their best - Let It Bleed (my favourite) , Get Yer Ya-Yas Out (great live album!) , Exile on Main Street, Sticky Fingers, Goats Head Soup (okay, that one wasn't so good) and It's Only Rock'n Roll.
Can you imagine - he was a 17 year old kid when he replaced Eric Clapton in the Bluesbreakers!

Mick Green, lead guitarist for The Pirates, died yesterday (January 11) at age 65.
