no another list ginnie, ah kin hear BIG hoggy rippin up ra flairboards I don't think the Missus minds us given our opinions... I could dig up some of his posts in threads that could be called part of a list I think his main beef was with so called experts/journalists and their asinine lists... Fer instance, the Missus DID post in some threads like Your Favourite SAHB album and I quote: How the hell are you supposed to pick one? Oh, Framed for me too by the way.

I would add that my brother had the red and blue collection albums and played them all the time, so I guess they were my real education to the Fab Four

I said I had the recordings X 2 what I meant was actually the pictures above are the original British albums but naturally I have the "bastardized"American versions on Capitol Records-
"Introducing The Beatles"( On Vee Jay records) "Meet The Beatles" "Beatles '65" "Something New"
then they kept the original names, but excluded some cuts I didnt have the Brit versions until they were printed on CD (how I wish I had an original Sgt.Peppers w/ the pop up and stuff that came with it)
funny but this past week I cracked open my 45's vault.. I kind of forgot I had all the original Capitol singles with the picture sleeves and the Swan label "She Loves You" & the German version and to show what a looney I am I bought the re-issues on Apple at the time. also found a French mini pressing of Magical Mystery Tour(Odion)
(-also found my SAHB singles which I did forget I had-YAY!)
QUESTION:
LET IT BE
or
LET IT BE "Naked"?

Classic Beatles reference!! Good one, Sarge. You may find this hard to believe, but a lot of people don't know much about the Beatles. Sure, they may be familiar with some of their "hits" but totally unaware of such gems as "You Can't Do That", "She Said She Said", "Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey" etc. Plus they can't put it all in historical context - that is fitting the music to its time. I think its important to realize that Sgt. Pepper came out in 1967 and not 1964 for instance. The world was changing fast in the sixties!

Ginnie, I've exchanged several emails over the years with Sam Leach, who was the original promoter of the Beatles, booking them in local clubs before they became famous. Back in the Merceybeat days. Really nice guy, I was working with him in my efforts to promote Joe Bonamassa back when I was running his street team...Sam was working on getting Joe booked in the UK before he finally broke into that market. If you were to email him, I'm sure he would reply. His contact info is on his website: www.samleach.com/hello_beatles_fans.htmFeel free to tell Sam that Stu from the Joe Bonamassa camp suggested you email. Not sure what you'd get out if it, except maybe the enjoyment of communicating with a little piece of Beatle history...but anyway for what it's worth I'd thought I'd pass that along.
