Nothing offensive about the question. The Chad thread was moved into a more appropriate category and was stickied for a few days so that it could be easily found.

Settle an argument who's best. Has to be Fish for me as I've seen him a lot more both with Marillion & solo & (with SAHB)!! & i've met him quite a few times as well. I first saw Marillion at the Glasgow Mayfair, the gig (13th Sept '82) was the night they signed their recording deal with EMI, long before they released anything. That gig was broadcast on Radio Clyde the following week & I still have the cassette but was released officially on the early stages box set last year. I saw Marillion on their 1st tour with Hogarth & thought they where really good & I have liked some of their Hogarth releases, Brave is a wonderful album. Sorry I'm goin on a bit........FISH for me

I love the Fish era stuff but prefer the Hogarth stuff. Saying that I think the Fish solo albums are brilliant, so you could say that I am getting the best of both worlds.
Here's my marks out of 10 for each studio album
Fish era Script For a Jester's Tear 7 Fugazi 7 Misplaced Childhood 7 Clutching at Straws 8
Steve Hogarth era Seasons End 8 Holidays in Eden 8 Brave 7 Afraid of Sunlight 8 This Strange Engine 7 Radiation 8 Marillion.Com 8 Anoraknophobia 9 Marbles 10 Somewhere Else 7 Happiness is the Road 9

Well, at least I've heard of Hogarth now - do they do the tee shirt in queen size? ;D
Fish is still my choice, as, until very recently, I'd never heard of Hogarth.
