The wife is dragging me to go see the Eagles tonight at Key Arena in Seattle. I like them well enough, but shows in a big arena aren't my 1st choice anymore. Hope it's worth going short of sleep on a work night.
Maybe Joe Walsh will bust out an old tune like he did on the Hell Freezes Over DVD. Tend My Garden or Turn To Stone would probably make it all worth while!

It be even better if Joe did some of his non-Eagle stuff - like James Gang material and "Rocky Mountain Way"....
I must say I was never a big fan of the Eagles - not that they were bad or anything - they just weren't rock'n roll to me. I must also say that when Joe joined the band they put out that Hotel California album, I listened to it a lot and even bought it on CD a few years ago. That is one excellent record.

I am happy to report it was an outstanding show. 2, 90-minute sets. Great mix and sound even for a big arena. 4-part harmonies that would make your hair stand on end. Covered most of their classics and several from their most recent release Long Road out of Eden.
Mixed in throughout the show were 5 songs by Joe Walsh either from the James Gang days or his solo career; Funk 49, Walk Away, Rocky Mountain Way, In The City and Life's Been Good To Me So Far.
Fun stuff and a great time. Very pleasantly surprised and glad I went.

That's one of the songs I played in my first jam back in '75.
