Ok folks no more negativity please surrounding SAHBstock III, & if your comin into this thread please leave your cynical heads & egos at the door ;D ;D ;D SAHBstock III will go ahead as planned with Make A Wish who make wishes come true for kids with life threatening illnesses being the benefactor. I have been in touch with them and they have sent me the relevant paperwork to fill in. The Raffle will take place & I can't understand the negativity of having another one this year. Big H, I take your point but I think the answer is we plan it better. The raffle last year on quick calculation took £900, I can break it all down if you wish but trust me £900 from a total raised of £2413 is a tremendous contribution to the final sum raised. Do people need to go away jumping & smiling when they get a prize? Don't think so & the prizes where so good I bet no one felt cheated On the subject of Alex's memorial, both myself (a couple of times) & Jack have offered the services of SAHTB to play at a fundraiser but didn't really get a reply. However tonight I spoke at length on the phone to Stuart Donaghy who is the treasurer of the Yahoo group memorial fund. I made a suggestion giving ideas, a date and other stuff to Stu regarding an Alex memorial fundraiser & he was absolutely knocked out with what I suggested & is 100% totally behind it, he will phone Brian Peters & Sandra Baker and pass on the contents of our discussion & I have said he can pass on my number to Brian & Sandra & we can discuss it further, the details of which will be revealed once we have talked more. We are all in this together no matter what the cause is, me personally I will work my socks off to make both a HUGE success but it's nicer if you have your friends with you. WOTCHA SAY BOYS AND GIRLS

What would be really POSITIVE would be a live video feed on the web at Sahbstock. I've seen it done locally at a bar where my friends band played - it was a benefit for Haiti and was really effective. The audio and video was quite good.

Having neither a cynical head nor an ego, I will happily join in the posts on this positive thread.
It is for sure that SAHBstock III will be a success and raise an even greater sum for charity than SAHBstock II, for sure.

As usual, and always, im here to help, as long as i get an AAA pass ;D

Yes we should be positive, i agree wholeheartedly, so in that vein i would like to make a wee suggestion and this is aimed at all, it is not aimed at anyone specifically and if you feel it is read it four times have a cup of tea, them respond accordingly.
Could we please lay off the barbed comments, the cryptic comments, and the defensive comments when there was no attack intended, some folk have offered what i believe was constructive criticism in some areas meant as a helpful suggestion to make everyones evening better than the last, it was not personal, it was definately not personal criticism, it was someones opinion based on their personal experience, and was in no way meant to demean or disrespect anyone, so can we all bear this in mind...........please.
It has been said here before that the flat typed word can be open to misinterpretation far too easily and for some very strange reason feelings and tensions can run high, myself included, so lets take a wee second to look around and appreciate the positives of all around us and if there are any negatives real or percieved, lets remember to look in before we perhaps lash out unnecessarily and unjustifiably.
So let us look forward, let us ALL be positive, and lets make sure that all our minds are like umbrellas.................................they always work better when they are open.

Not noticably positive, my Cave-dwelling friend!! SAHBstock III will be fine and dandy, the organizers don't have to be forum members to do their job - after all, there are so few of us on here and that was evident at SAHBstockII, which was still a success.

Ginne, speaking from experience, the venue (Ivory Black's) does not lend itself to filming. That why I had to film it from BEHIND the PA system. Thers feck all place to safely put a Video camera.
