Hendrix was amazing. I know some people think he was overrated, but its like saying the Beatles were overrated. In fact, both were the best in the world at what they excelled at. Hendrix's work was getting better and better as time went on - it would have been interesting if he had lived longer, and seen where he would go with his music. My favourite CD of his (besides his regular albums) is the 4 CD Box set "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" www.amazon.com/Jimi-Hendrix-Experience/dp/B00004WKII/ref=cm_lmf_tit_17/188-6850890-3547859I can't believe that I meet some people today who have never listened to him except hearing Purple Haze and Hey Joe on the radio.

Thats probably the same as people (like me) who only know the Beatles songs from what used to be played on the radio as well. Its perhaps a bit ignorant to say that that is all some of us know of either of them.
