Dead simple, cover versions that far surpass the originals, SAHB obviously and anyone else of course............
SAHB - Amos Moses, way way better than the Jerry Reed original.
Rammstein - Stripped, originally by Depeche Mode, the original is good, but pales into insignificance compared to the Rammstein version!!

Ive always thought SAHB's version of Schools Out to be far superior to Alice's. There is much more menace in it, perfect for those of us who were in high school in the 70's with ancient teachers just holding on for their retirement, supply teachers who couldn't be bothered teaching at all and strikes by the cleaners which meant the kids ended up doing the cleaning. ;D
Marylin Manson's version of Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This. Just great.
Also my rendition of There's No Business Like Show Business a la Ethel Merman is pretty damn good. Even if I do say so myself.

Jimi Hendrix - Bob Dylan: All Along the Watchtower
Steppenwolf - Hoyt Axton: The Pusher
Deep Purple - Neil Diamond: Kentucky Woman
The Beatles - Written by Phil Medley and Bert Berns and performed by the Isley Brothers: Twist and Shout

k.d. lang's version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah - and certainly far superior to the screechy Mariah Carey-alike XFactor person that took it to number 1!!

Susan Boyle's version of Wild Horses - another one better than the Stones version, I think anyway, not everyone would.

I think that Susan Boyle's version highlighted what a very beautiful song it is, Mick Jagger's diction has always been abysmal.
I LURVE SAHB doing Crazy Horses!!
