It says Thomas Dolby is on at the Picturedrome soon- a venue made famous by the visit of SAHB of course. I wonder what he does for a 'Magnus Pike' these days?

Is a 'picturedrome' a cinema?

Not at all Penster - The Picturedrome is a great live music venue, on the tour circuit, in Holmfirth, Last Of The Summer Wine country - oop north - no reason you should know that - I only know about it because Colin went tear arsing up there one night with an emergency amp for SAHB - moments after we got home from whatever gigs we'd just been to!!
Thomas Dolby's big hit had Magnus Pike (remember, the wavy abouty hand nutty professor type from tv?) doing a speaking vocal on it.......Jeez!! Where's Platterpete when you need him (bless him)

It's just been refitted so it needs disabled access for building regs. Come to think of it most people exiting the place look to have lost control of their legs.

I was told by someone who is very well versed on all things unbelievable...Thomas Dolby co-invented the polyphonic ringtone synthesizer, which was embedded in more than two billion Nokia mobile phones...which later led to the MP3... You got 50p for a cup of tea....pal? cheerz md
