My son's been asked by his drum teacher to learn the drum parts of Satch Boogie for his GCSE band performance exam.... I know his teacher likes his rock too (met him at the Pearl Jam gig at the O2 recently ), but my, how times have changed! I didnt do music to that level (ie O level) when I was at school but I dont recall the syllabus acknowledging any music newer than the 19th century... Strange choice of track tho

Nice double bass drum shuffle going on, nice and fast with a lot of fairly tricky accents etc. that need to be there...same vein as DP's 'Lazy' drum wise, I reckon...

Thanks guys, I'll pass the messages on! I reckon he'd have rather done Enter Sandman, being a bit of a Metallicker fan (like most 15yr olds i guess ), but he likes a challenge so I'm sure he'll knuckle down with Satch Boogie. I'll get him to listen to Lazy again too - one of my all time faves
