Ask......and you shall receive Mr McB!.......The forum fairy flies again! There I was, conducting (I thought!) a stealthy but most effective under cover market survey re: ra hoops when...........up pops Cool as *uck Cleminson and blows ma cover........I MUST be......the man in the jar!!!!!! Uncharateristically, I digress! I had a conversation with Ted, who sits at the back of SAHB, hitting things, (as well as doing more than one mere mortal can do in a 24 hour day)about the striped t shirt making a comeback to the merch table and it seemed that every endeavour would be made for this goal to be achieved as a brilliant surprise for the tour. (perhaps only in my mind!) However - I didn't want to lead the Famous Five (which is an overstatement of the numbers who regularly post on this frivilous fun type forum) by setting off another "the DVD's out on Monday" thread (which was VERY funny) ;D So what's it to be like? Long sleeved, I had one confirmation of that; scooped neck ?(rather than classic T neck) Logo? I thought discreet, on front left hand side - or - on right sleeve. SAHB? or The Sensational Alex Harvey Band? I favour the latter - possibly on both sleeves, where the Sarge would have his stripes, for those among us who have neglected to have tattoos done. I'm sure y'all will let me know! I had another thought; in the run up to the convention in talking to Rachel (Zal's Gal) she mentioned that she'd like to get a shirt proclaiming just that, as opposed to the New York gay scene in the 70s, so taken with the Marceau make up, that Zal was dubbed "Gal Zal". Conversation with big brother Chris led to him thinking that Chris's Sis (although grammatically incorrect) would be good for me. He also elected to have Benson's Bruv for my Colin and with just about a week to go I was inspired! I called His Chrisness with the notion that these one off shirts should precede the wearer's title with "the Sensational" and so it was decided. Later that evening... another eureka moment! (once a king always a king, but once a night's enough!) it made perfect (one of her favourite words) sense to have Elaine shirted out as Chris's Missus! Hurrah! And so it came to pass. ;D I'll get to the point now.....whaddya think of a limited edition range of just such t shirts - what would you be? Zal's Pal? Maxxxx's Mate? Clearly that's they're the only ones I've thought of - I'm sure you can furnish the rest, one for each of the band - on the grounds that management is the art of delegation - I'll leave that with you, sweet peas!!!!!! Can't wait for your replies! Yours Aye! Chris' Sis

My DAHLING Mrs Foster! I have laughed aloud at your suggestions (furra burds of assorted sizes!) for "individual" t shirts - thank you! Howzabout (this could be the rather lovely red glug that went with the lamb chops this evening!) pinching your theme - Ted's Tart ; Hugh's Muse; Chris is Delicious (some imagination perhaps required there!!) Maxxx's Exxxxcess........the real question is .........widjay buy wan? ? (I couldn't care less - this is such FUN!!!!!!) My dearly beloved has just chirruped through to me ....Ted's Trollop! Picking up on the naughty rough boys who are SAHB - The Chancers' Enhancers!!!!!!! I've took that too far!!!!!! Yours Aye! Chris' grammatically correct Sis!!!! (my Colin's off on one - I hope Maureen doesn't read this) Hugh's sleeper.....Maxxxxxxxxxxx's Moll..............Colin seems to have it in for Maureen, who is just lovely.........Hugh's Harlot! Ted's Trollop (which I would have gladly been....many years ago.........recently I was alone in a Novotel bedroom with Ted.(be still my beating heart) happily counting raffle ticket money (many thanks) along with the minutes until I would be back downstairs with the love of my life! Y'see, middle age is a marvellous thing!! I'm not sure about Maxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx's Muscle....Gibby's Gorgeous Geisha (Colin again!!!) I'm away this time....my bubble bath awaits!! ps Chris's Missus calls him a totty when he's having a blonde moment DOH!!

i would love a stripey long sleeved t- shirt (gotta be the right thickness mind), and the sensational alex harvey band logo on the front would be the bussiness, and would it be too much too ask for tour dates on the back ?, this should be a crackin thread.. c'mon troops get postin, with catherine, and now the mighty zal on board things could start happening, don't forget the wee sahbsters !!!!

my tuppence worth......
Makes more comercial sense without tour dates, a) these are subject to change b) cancelations and additions leave you vunerable c) leaves a "tour sized time window" to sell all the stock in d) Dates the shirt
Dont want to go down the football team road of changing the strip twice every season - Should be a style icon to be admired as much in another 20 years as well as today (hoping to live that Long !)
A pink variation works on many levels too !

hate to disagree, manwithnoface gotta have tour dates on ra back !!, any stock left over (if any are left, judging by the posts already, i doubt it) could be shifted through the site, for the sahbsters who could'nt make the tour, and if anybody knows where i can get a black and white stripey "babygrow" for our first grandson jack "harvey" davis, could they let me know, gotta start them young !!!

I don't think the 'Zal's Gal' 'Max's Mate' thing is a seller except for those close to the band Anyway, it's not hard to find and attach one's own lettering is it ;D Tour dates, or not Tour dates... that is the question Answer, have both ;D There could be a 'stock' t-shirt, where for each new tour, some could have the dates on My preferences for the shirt would be: - Long Sleeves - correct bandheight - V-neck (although I can understand (cost) if it were round-necked) - discreet Green SAHB 'patch' logo on left chest and at back nape of neck (preferably embroidered, but again can see cost being prohibitive) In fact, here's an Idea Why not sell embroidered and/or Iron-on SAHB logo patches (both designs?) in different sizes (say discreet, Bandheight and double-bandheight) then the punter can buy as many - and put them wherever - they like Sure to be a seller! Oooohhh, i'm so excited at the thought of finally getting my hands on a genuine Alex-style shirt... Anyway, my 2ps worth...

As soon as I've posted this, I'm going to collate the information from your wishes, wants, hopes and desires for the hooped top and pass them on for possibilty and pricing. OK? Do you believe me? OK! Slightly scooped neck, long sleeved, correct weight of fabric, Sensational Alex Harvey Band logo on right sleeve, also on nape of neck, in SAHB yellow, correct hoop depth. Will also be enquiring about car stickers;mouse mats;pens;enamel badges and calendars - but don't hold your breath for all of them! Yours aye Chris' Sis ps they're no here yet!

In response to a heartfelt plea from a very proud grandfather - GAP do a range of newborn and toddler baby bodysuits with just the right width stripe - rugby shirt collar or not - but as far as i can make out only in chocolate/raspberry or indigo/pale blue - not very rock'roll - but I think good enough - ye canny pit the "Harvey" wean in black & white hoops - he'll look like the smallest convict in the creche!!!!!! Poor wee papoose!
This was no trouble - I saw a rugrat on GMTV this morning wearing chocolate/lime version - good stripes and all - emailed GMTV - thought I'd no chance of a reply, so, I rang them - within minutes I had the answer - GAP - Hail GMTV!!!

How about it being a hooped rugby shirt with the SAHB logo on the front? The only reason I say this is being a man with "a fuller figure" a normal T Shirt with hoops would make me look twice the size I already am !! Whereas rugby shirts tend to disguise the fact to some extent that I'm a fat b++++++ & without wishing to seem rude about my fellow SAHBsters I'm not the only one in our ranks !!
Just a thought.
Cheers, Alan.
