Now that the forget-me-not crop has been harvested, I thought it would be fun for us to share pics of your yard, house, barn... whatever.... I'll start... As you can see, there's barely a forget me not in sight. I didn't fetch as much this year because of an over abundance at the market. Damn competition! (oh, that's my helper in the photo... errr, I mean, sometimes I help her ) A panoramic view of the front - note the two ancient stone cairns - they have to be at least fifteen hundred years old...

The front yard... The "cairn" I built using stones from a dismantled woodstove area I used to have in my living room. I love them.

is your lawn mower f***ed ginnie? No! That borders on insult! I think its one of the best looking lawns on our street. That's a natural lawn Crooktown - I'll give you a breakdown of all the things growing after I consult with my wife. I won't tell her what you said though... Which lawn do you prefer? Mine: Or a "perfect lawn":

IGNORE the TART, Sir Gin!!! I love your garden - it's EXACTLY as I would expect your garden to be, it ties in with your personality - and what a spectacular forget me not harvest - best on record, I hear!! BR!!!! What a stunning effect!!! Loving your garden too - it must smell heavenly with all those pinks, the scent held in by the walls - deeevine!!! Ties in with what you do, too - perfect and all in line - wonderful! I'm such a cheat!! I STILL can't do the post a pic thing, but the marvellous Mike Drew will post some for me - I've been itching to join in with some of the stout endeavours of new threads - perhaps better late than never.......... and thank phuck it's not in verse say you!!!!! ;D

I guess they have to get their money from somewhere, plus the couple of thousand I pay in city taxes...

I have to be honest here... my wife maintains the gardens/lawns. All I do is mow/trim and dig out the occasional bush. So she gets all the credit. I did build the cairns though and did some edging with my brand new edgingthing tool.

Isn't the black grass a brilliant thing, C.Cat - this is them way back when, over 2 years ago - before they grew just too big for their pots. In fact, when Colin's mother died, I had back the black grass I had given her, brought it on a bit popped it in a trendy contenporary pot and gave it to Zal as part of his 60th birthday present - he fell in love with my four.......I used to call them The Beatles....To the left from the back door

I couldn't resist the laundry one!!
Sorry there are so many but it's a funny sort of garden - a rectangle at the back of the house and a triangle at the side - the side being where the back door is!!!
When we bought the house, eight years ago, it was ALL muddy, sparse, weed infested grass, encircled by almost out of hand Leylandii trees......I likes it - AND - it's maintenance free!! (the grass is Darling Man's self imposed task!!
