Mel Gibson is most certainly not the choice to play Chris - he's now being questioned ove an incident of domestic violence - Mel, that is, not Chris.
He's WAY too short anyway - Mel, that is, not Chris.

I was thinking who could play the members of SAHB in a play/movie--- Purely on looks i hasten to add Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen would make a great Hugh Mckenna!!!

Yet again purely on looks how about Erik Estrada for Chris?? we would need to get elevator shoes and the movie would need to be dubbed like the old chinese kung fu films coz i dread to think what Erik Estrad's Scottish accent is like!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think that all it needs is some young (obviously talented) musicians for the bulk of the show and then, for the grand finale, some 'mature' guys who know the songs inside-out. Do we know anybody who fits the bill for the latter?

Writing for the band is the privilege, getting material for the story with interviews from the members and newspaper stories that are time sensitive, like their beginning until the start of album 4 is what the thinking is for the main story, your interest made me think we could choreograph their TV appearances to use as musical numbers along with simulated live concerts. the only bands that i have thought of are 2, 5 piece bands popular now; incubus and the strokes not to ask anyone just yet because ultimately I'm thinking we could find some young Scottish musicians to fill the rolls of SAHB. Who ever plays Alex has some pretty big boots to wear but it'll look good on their resume. On a much less interesting note, still haven't found a guitar player willing to commit to rehearsals for my band but staying in touch with a couple of interested guitar players. Recorded a bass guitar track for the song Japanese Girl with the band SuperBig formerly Majesty to get some playing time in. Wrote a new song for Roller but it will probably end up on Rev Machines record as they definitely aren't taking me on as interim rhythm guitar player (Brett has been busy with Lonnie Brooks and lives in Iowa now) for the 2 gigs that they have coming up. In the beginning Vambo really did rule.

Open auditions, there is amazing talent all around, us. Brothers and Sisters, Broadway, I have been off Broadway ( not the band, about 1500 miles off Broadway ) working on it still. Getting chilly in Chi, saw lights on some Christmas trees in the Ridge ( shorty for Park Ridge ) , this band was off Broadway this day, across the pond, Knebworth, 76: www.youtube.com/user/MrSolarcoaster?feature=mhum#p/f/9/RHsDa9_HSlA

I'm still trying to figure out what Maxxxx was talking about.

"worthy? I think so. I haven't done a search so not sure if another thread on the Forums relates. Think of all of the themes for the absolute best theatrical rock and roll band, on Broadway, it could be a lot of fun. " this thread was a thought about a theatrical production similar to a "Grease" or West Side Story", The Sensational Alex Harvey Band Story or some thing which I thought would work because the music is so strong and the rock and roll story can be romanticized, with a little help from some romantics. I meandered a bit, blame it on the boogie www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjW1iq4IO2k , just kidding, I'm in if it ever gets, you know, interesting.lol

in wonderful Penny and Ginnie world - where peacocks strut around the grounds and Reynard the fox is friends with the hounds. The music plays, the flags are unfurled In wonderful Penny and Ginnie world.
The roses headily scent the breeze, Birds sing and squirrels dance in the trees. The turnip crop's in, no effort, no messin' The forget-me-nots smile, giving their blessing.
Some worries and woes, to crease the brow but with family and friends, it's alright now. Play "The Faith Healer", you gotta believe, then your spirit never shall have to grieve.
That world is gentle, so friendly, so warm Penny's laughter will cure, if your spirits are torn. Ginnie's painting, his music, his great bonhomie Make Penny and Ginnie world perfect, you see?

In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land Chaos reigns, sensational and grand. Our dearest Sir Gin, mad as a hatter! Those pictures are skew whiff - what does it matter?
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land The Tomahawk Kid really does hold your hand. Our dearest Sir Gin, daft as a brush, Fabulous cook - but not Hoggy's "mush"!
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land There's a cupboard with amps, guitars & a stand. His talents are boundless, he just can't stop - Unless it's to harvest his turnip crop.
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land He's keen on The Beatles, that Liverpool band. Neil Young & Alice, all sorts he plays - With Sir Gin & his music, it's all happy days.
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land His paints, canvas & easel always are manned. Portraits of Trixie & Zal, lots of Brett's Tree You should take a rest Gin, have a beer - maybe three!
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land All order is gone - in fact, it's been banned! The cats rule the roost, all silky and slick Please, change nothing, dear Sir Ginniegatric
