in wonderful Penny and Ginnie world - where peacocks strut around the grounds and Reynard the fox is friends with the hounds. The music plays, the flags are unfurled In wonderful Penny and Ginnie world.
The roses headily scent the breeze, Birds sing and squirrels dance in the trees. The turnip crop's in, no effort, no messin' The forget-me-nots smile, giving their blessing.
Some worries and woes, to crease the brow but with family and friends, it's alright now. Play "The Faith Healer", you gotta believe, then your spirit never shall have to grieve.
That world is gentle, so friendly, so warm Penny's laughter will cure, if your spirits are torn. Ginnie's painting, his music, his great bonhomie Make Penny and Ginnie world perfect, you see? "To live in this world would be great, If only they hang the pictures straight"they store the beans beside the shoes to do such a thing I never would choose

What do your Italian comments mean, I can't even speak my own language!! Vic said - Gin was mad and I said more like unique, one of a kind - I cheated, just like Professor McBurnie Babelfish!!

In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land Chaos reigns, sensational and grand. Our dearest Sir Gin, mad as a hatter! Those pictures are skew whiff - what does it matter?
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land The Tomahawk Kid really does hold your hand. Our dearest Sir Gin, daft as a brush, Fabulous cook - but not Hoggy's "mush"!
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land There's a cupboard with amps, guitars & a stand. His talents are boundless, he just can't stop - Unless it's to harvest his turnip crop.
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land He's keen on The Beatles, that Liverpool band. Neil Young & Alice, all sorts he plays - With Sir Gin & his music, it's all happy days.
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land His paints, canvas & easel always are manned. Portraits of Trixie & Zal, lots of Brett's Tree You should take a rest Gin, have a beer - maybe three!
In chaotic, Canadian Ginnie land All order is gone - in fact, it's been banned! The cats rule the roost, all silky and slick Please, change nothing, dear Sir Ginniegatric ;D ;D Now that's more like it! You nailed it Catherine! Karma!

There's No Business Like Show Business Lyrics:
MEN'S CHORUS: The costumes, the scenery, the makeup, the props The audience that lifts you when you're down
WOMEN'S CHORUS: The headaches, the heartaches, the backaches, the flops The sheriff who escorts you out of town
MEN'S CHORUS: The opening when your heart beats like a drum
WOMEN'S CHORUS: The closing when the customers won't come
ALLS: There's no business like show business Like no business I know
MEN'S CHORUS: Everything about it is appealing
WOMEN'S CHORUS: Everything the traffic will allow
MEN'S CHORUS: No where could you have that happy feeling
ALLL: When you aren't stealing that extra bow There's no people like show people They smile when they are low
MEN'S CHORUS: Yesterday they told you you would not go far
WOMEN'S CHORUS: That night you opened and there you are
MEN'S CHORUS: Next day on your dressing room they've hung a star
ALL: Let's go on with the show
MEN'S CHORUS: The cowboys, the wrestlers, the tumblers, the clowns The roustabouts that move the show at dawn
WOMEN'S CHORUS: The music, the spotlights, the people, the towns Your baggage with the labels pasted on
MEN'S CHORUS: The sawdust and the horses and the smell
WOMEN'S CHORUS: The towel you've taken from the last hotel
ALL: There's no business like show business If you tell me it's so Traveling through the country is so thrilling Standing out in front on opening nights Smiling as you watch the benches filling And see your billing up there in lights
There's no people like show people They smile when they are low Even with a turkey that you know will fold You may be stranded out in the cold Still you wouldn't trade it for a sack o' gold Let's go on with the show Let's go on with the show! The show! The show!

I sometimes sing this song to my nephew in the style of Ethel Merman - usually in shops, he thinks its hilarious, but then he is only 9!

For a while, in a dinner theater troupe, a comedy spoof of an Italian/American cable TV series we were doing, we sang That's Amore every performance, 8 mafioso and 6 mafietta's would sing There's No Business Like Show Business in the dressing room to warm up, it was a fun way to get ready/loosen up for the show.

probably shouldn't be wondering if a song from another Scot band would fit in a show, towards the end or in the beginning going towards the beginning Nazareth - "Holiday" youtu.be/U7pG2ju5OYk

If there were a rock band made for Broadway, it would have to be "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band":
Alex Harvey, Faith-Healer
